The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK riders Remy Gardner and Stefano Manzi completed an intensive two-day test session at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli as both riders continued preparations for the upcoming sixth round of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship season.
Australian rider Gardner returned to action focused on confirming the progress achieved during recent race weekends while continuing development work on the Yamaha R1 package.
Across both test days, Gardner concentrated mainly on improving race pace consistency and overall bike setup, while also completing a time attack simulation on the second day.
After completing a total of 176 laps, the Australian clocked a personal best time of 1’32.561 to finish 10th overall on the combined timesheets.
“It was a positive test overall, and it was great to get more mileage under our belt,” said Gardner.
“Our goal was to confirm the progress we’ve made in recent rounds while continuing to improve, and we now have plenty of valuable data to analyse.”
“Together with the team, we tried several different solutions with an eye on the upcoming rounds, and we’re confident we can move closer to the front for the rest of the season.”

Meanwhile, Italian rider Manzi focused on improving his confidence and feeling aboard the Yamaha R1 as he continues adapting to his rookie WorldSBK campaign.
The reigning 2025 WorldSSP champion maximised track time throughout both days while evaluating multiple setup changes aimed at improving overall speed and consistency.
Manzi completed an impressive 211 laps during the test and posted a fastest lap of 1’32.997 to finish 13th overall.
“It was nice to be back on track again so soon and to complete a lot of laps ahead of another WorldSBK weekend,” said Manzi.
“Our target was to find more performance and speed for the next races by evaluating different setup solutions.”
“The objective for the second half of my rookie WorldSBK season is to keep reducing the gap to the front and fight consistently closer to the leading positions.”
Both riders will now shift their focus to Round 6 of the 2026 WorldSBK Championship at MotorLand Aragón, scheduled to take place from May 29 to 31.
