Hakim Danish Targets For A Comeback at San Marino GP

The national rider is targeting better results at the Misano Circuit, with a focus on remaining in the fight for the top position in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship.

Hakim Danish Ramli is determined to return to challenge the front group when he takes part in the San Marino Grand Prix (GP) at the Misano Circuit this weekend.

After finishing the Aragon GP in 12th place and taking home four points, the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider is aiming for a more competitive performance in Misano to strengthen his position in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship.

The challenge at Misano is expected to be more difficult as the circuit is a venue well known to most European riders. Hakim Danish is expected to face stiff competition from riders who already have extensive experience and understand the character of the circuit.

Therefore, the 19-year-old rider wants to get into rhythm as early as the Free Practice 1 (FP1) session to ensure that he is able to compete for a better grid position ahead of the main race.

Apart from focusing on speed, Hakim Danish also paid attention to the compatibility aspect with his machine. After re-evaluating his performance at Aragon, he and his team identified several areas that could still be improved for overall performance at Misano.

The increasingly strong collaboration with the crew also gives the Terengganu-born rider confidence in obtaining a machine setting that is more suitable for the character of the Misano Circuit.

So far, Hakim Danish has collected 90 points and is in eighth place overall in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship. With a points gap that is not too far, the San Marino GP is an important opportunity for Hakim Danish to increase his points collection and improve his overall standings.

The 2026 Moto3 season now has only nine rounds remaining before the championship comes to a finale at the Valencia GP on November 29. Every point earned becomes increasingly important in Hakim Danish’s efforts to end the season with positive momentum.

Commenting on his preparation, Hakim Danish said he had reviewed the race in Aragon and identified several aspects that needed to be improved ahead of the action in Misano.

“I can’t wait to get back to racing and give it my all in San Marino. I’ve reviewed the race in Aragon and identified a few things that need to be improved.

I need to adapt to the track and racing conditions more quickly, especially in the early sessions. At the same time, I want to gain confidence and better compatibility with the bike.

The collaboration with the team is also improving and we are understanding more and more what is needed to get the best performance from the bike.

The main thing is to continue to collect as many points as possible in every race. I want to be more consistent, reduce mistakes and try to be in the front group so that I can bring home important points from San Marino,” he said.

Meanwhile, SIC Racing Team Manager, Zulfahmi Khairuddin believes Misano is the best opportunity for Hakim Danish to return to competing in the front group after the action in Aragon.

According to him, the national racer needs to quickly find a rhythm during the first practice session as the Misano Circuit has a combination of fast and slow corners that require quick adjustments.

Zulfahmi also admitted that most European racers have the advantage in terms of experience on the circuit, but was confident that Hakim Danish would be able to compete if he managed to adapt early.

“I believe the race in Misano will be very competitive and Danish needs to continue getting the pace as early as FP1 because this circuit has a combination of fast and slow corners.

I believe all the European riders, including the former Red Bull Rookies Cup rider, are already familiar with the ins and outs of this circuit. This is Danish’s first time racing at Misano and he will need to quickly adapt to the track conditions.

This is a circuit where I believe Danish needs to step up and show better results. He needs to be in the front group because in the last race in Aragon, he was unable to do so.

There are two or three riders who have a very strong pace. So, I believe Misano is an opportunity for Danish to bounce back, show good results and get back into the fight with the front group,” he said.

With fewer races remaining, action at the San Marino GP could be a crucial point in Hakim Danish’s efforts to continue collecting valuable points and strengthen his position in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship standings.
