After a year-long absence from the MotoGP calendar, Aprilia Racing is set to make a highly anticipated return to the Circuito Termas de Río Hondo in Argentina for the second round of the 2025 season. Representing the Noale-based manufacturer will be Marco Bezzecchi and Lorenzo Savadori, with Savadori stepping in to replace the injured Jorge Martín, who is recovering from a training accident.
The Argentine circuit holds special significance for Aprilia Racing, as it was here in 2022 that the team secured its first-ever MotoGP victory. The track is also a favorite of Marco Bezzecchi, who has enjoyed remarkable success in Argentina. In 2018, Bezzecchi claimed his first Moto3 victory at Termas de Río Hondo, and in 2023, he celebrated his maiden MotoGP win at the same venue.
Bezzecchi expressed his excitement about returning to Argentina, stating, “I am very happy to finally return to Argentina because I really like this track, and I was sorely disappointed about not going last year. We did a good job in Thailand, and we need to keep improving along with the team. I can’t wait to be on the track!”
Lorenzo Savadori, who will replace the injured Jorge Martín, is eager to make his debut at the Argentine circuit. Savadori has been working closely with the team to develop the RS-GP25 and is focused on delivering a strong performance.
“Termas is a new track for me where I have never ridden, and I can’t wait to try it,” Savadori said. “We are working in the right direction, and the goal for the weekend is to continue growing the RS-GP25 more and more so that we can give Jorge the best possible bike upon his return.”
