Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has officially announced that Australian rider Jack Miller will leave the manufacturer’s MotoGP project at the conclusion of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship season, bringing their collaboration to an end after two years together.

Miller joined the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team at the start of the 2025 season and quickly became an important figure in Yamaha’s ongoing efforts to rebuild its MotoGP programme. Throughout his time with the Japanese manufacturer, the experienced Australian provided valuable technical feedback and racing experience that helped accelerate the development of the YZR-M1.

Beyond his role on MotoGP weekends, Miller also demonstrated his commitment to Yamaha by representing the brand in the 2025 and 2026 Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. His participation in one of Japan’s most prestigious motorcycle races highlighted his dedication to Yamaha’s wider motorsport ambitions and showcased his strong team spirit.

Yamaha expressed its appreciation for Miller’s professionalism, dedication, and contribution throughout the partnership, while wishing him success in the next chapter of his racing career.

Yamaha Thanks Miller for His Technical Contribution

Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Paolo Pavesio praised Miller for the impact he made since joining the MotoGP project.

According to Pavesio, Miller arrived during a crucial stage of Yamaha’s rebuilding process and immediately became an important contributor thanks to his technical knowledge, honest feedback, and determination to help improve the bike.

He also highlighted Miller’s willingness to compete in the Suzuka 8 Hours alongside his MotoGP commitments, describing it as another example of the Australian’s dedication to Yamaha Racing.

Pavesio added that Miller’s positive personality, enthusiasm, and ability to build strong relationships within the garage made him a highly respected member of the team. He thanked the Australian rider for his efforts and expressed hope that their paths may cross again in the future.

Pramac Racing Pays Tribute to Miller

Prima Pramac Racing Team Principal Paolo Campinoti also thanked Miller for his contribution during his time with the team.

Campinoti said Miller leaves behind more than just results on the racetrack, describing him as someone who became an important part of the team’s history through both his performances and his character.

Although disappointed to see the partnership come to an end, Campinoti acknowledged that such decisions are part of professional motorsport. He wished Miller and his family the very best for the future and stated that the rider would always remain a valued member of the Prima Pramac family.

Miller also believes he still has plenty to offer in MotoGP and remains motivated for the next chapter of his racing career. However, his immediate priority is finishing the remainder of the 2026 MotoGP season strongly with Prima Pramac Yamaha before moving on.
