Nicolò Bulega delivered a flawless performance to win Race 2 of the 2026 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park, leading home an Aruba.it Racing – Ducati one-two with teammate Iker Lecuona, while Yari Montella completed an all-Ducati podium in the Prosecco DOC UK Round.
The victory also sealed Ducati’s fifth consecutive WorldSBK Manufacturers’ Championship, wrapping up the title after just eight rounds of the 2026 season. Combined with Aruba.it Racing Ducati’s Teams’ Championship success secured earlier in the Tissot Superpole Race, it marked another historic weekend for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
For the first time all weekend, Bulega converted pole position into the race lead, fending off an early challenge from Montella into Turn 1 before gradually building a comfortable advantage.
Behind the race leader, the battle for the remaining podium places intensified. Alex Lowes initially occupied third before being overtaken by Sam Lowes, while Lecuona produced one of the rides of the day after charging through the field from tenth on the grid.
The Spaniard quickly worked his way into podium contention, passing Alex Lowes before overtaking Sam Lowes to move into third. With only Montella left ahead, Lecuona continued to close the gap before executing a decisive move at Goddards on Lap 16 to secure second place.

From there, the podium positions remained unchanged as Bulega crossed the finish line comfortably ahead of his teammate, with Montella completing one of his strongest weekends of the season in third.
The win marked Bulega’s 43rd WorldSBK victory, drawing level with Japanese legend Noriyuki Haga for sixth on the all-time winners’ list. The result also delivered Italy’s 550th WorldSBK podium, while Lecuona celebrated his 19th career podium and Montella secured his 11th.
The weekend was particularly significant for Aruba.it Racing – Ducati after Lecuona claimed his maiden WorldSBK victory in Saturday’s Race 1. Although the Spaniard crashed out of the Superpole Race after another strong start, he bounced back brilliantly in Race 2 with an impressive recovery drive.
For Ducati, Donington Park has traditionally been one of its more challenging circuits, making the weekend sweep even more remarkable. Between Bulega and Lecuona, the Italian manufacturer claimed every race victory across the weekend, underlining the competitiveness of the Panigale V4 R.

Aruba.it Racing Ducati Team Principal Stefano Cecconi praised the entire organisation following the title success: “I am truly happy for this fifth consecutive Team title. It reflects the extraordinary work done by our riders and every single member of the team. A heartfelt thank you goes to Ducati, Claudio Domenicali, Luigi Dall’Igna, Marco Zambenedetti and everyone in Borgo Panigale who gave us exceptional bikes and allowed us to dream big. Congratulations as well on securing the fifth consecutive Constructors’ title.”
Bulega was equally delighted after another dominant weekend: “It was a great Sunday. I want to thank my team for the step forward we made compared to yesterday. I’m proud to have contributed to winning both championships before the end of the season. Now we’ll enjoy the summer break, but our work is not finished yet.”
Following eight rounds of the 2026 WorldSBK season, Ducati heads into the summer break with both the Manufacturers’ Championship and Teams’ Championship already secured, while Bulega continues to strengthen his position as one of the championship’s standout performers.
