The Aprilia RS 660 enjoyed a landmark weekend across multiple international championships, delivering victories in the Superbike World Championship Sportbike class, MotoAmerica Twins Cup, and British Superbike Sportbike category. The successful weekend further highlights the growing competitiveness and worldwide success of Aprilia’s middleweight sportbike platform.

Historic first Sportbike World Championship victory for Aprilia
At the third round of the Sportbike World Championship at Most, Matteo Vannucci and the REVO-M2 team delivered a historic breakthrough by securing Aprilia’s first-ever victory in the Sportbike class.
Vannucci showcased impressive pace from the opening sessions on Friday before dominating Race 1 from the very first corner all the way to the chequered flag aboard the Aprilia RS 660. The Italian rider followed up the victory with a strong fourth-place finish in Race 2, allowing him to significantly close the gap in the championship standings. He now sits just five points behind third place overall.
The achievement also marked Aprilia’s return to the top step of the podium in the World Superbike paddock for the first time in a decade. The brand’s previous WorldSBK victory came in 2016, when Leon Haslam won Race 2 in Qatar aboard the Aprilia RSV4 RF, while teammate Jordi Torres claimed victory in Race 1 during the same weekend.

Hank Vossberg dominates MotoAmerica Twins Cup
Aprilia also enjoyed a commanding performance in the United States during the MotoAmerica Twins Cup round at Barber Motorsports Park.
Riding for Robem Engineering, 15-year-old rising talent Hank Vossberg secured a dominant double victory in both Race 1 and Race 2 aboard the Aprilia RS 660. Starting from pole position, Vossberg controlled the weekend from the opening practice sessions and delivered two convincing solo wins.
The American rider now strengthens his position at the top of the championship standings with 136 points, extending his lead to 45 points over his nearest rival.
Aprilia’s strong MotoAmerica showing was further reinforced by Logan Cunnison of Speed Demon Racing, who finished third in Race 2 after starting fourth on the grid. The Barber weekend saw four Aprilia RS 660 machines finish inside the top 10 in Race 1, while five RS 660 bikes achieved top-10 finishes in Race 2.

British Superbike success continues at Donington Park
Aprilia’s winning momentum continued in the British Superbike Championship at Donington Park during the second round of the Pirelli Sportbike class.
Alfie Davidson of the INCompetition team emerged as one of the standout riders of the weekend after starting from pole position and taking victory in Race 1. He followed it up with a hard-fought second-place finish in Race 2, narrowly missing another win by just one hundredth of a second.
Meanwhile, Harley McCabe from Fibre Tec Aprilia-By Mlav Racing added two third-place finishes aboard his RS 660, helping Aprilia secure multiple podium finishes throughout the weekend. Thanks to these strong results, Davidson now leads the championship standings with a 17-point advantage over McCabe.
Aprilia RS 660 continues proving its global competitiveness
From Europe to the United States and the United Kingdom, the Aprilia RS 660 continues to establish itself as one of the most competitive motorcycles in international middleweight racing categories. With victories, podium finishes, and championship leads across several major championships, Aprilia’s racing momentum shows no signs of slowing down.
