MODENAS, through Kawasaki Malaysia, successfully organised the Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp at Beranang Horizon Circuit, gathering Kawasaki owners and selected media members for a full-day riding programme focused on track skills and rider development.
Held from 9am until 5pm, the programme was designed to provide riders with practical exposure to track-riding fundamentals in a safe and controlled environment while strengthening Kawasaki Malaysia’s efforts in promoting responsible riding culture among owners of Kawasaki Ninja and Z series motorcycles.
Throughout the session, participants took part in a range of guided riding activities including safety briefings, riding posture, body positioning, vision control, braking techniques, cornering approach and practical on-track riding sessions. All motorcycles used during the programme were Kawasaki models, giving riders the opportunity to fully experience the brand’s machines in a structured track setting.

The riding camp was conducted together with iRide Academy, also known as i-RIDE, a Malaysian motorcycle coaching school specialising in rider safety and skill development across various riding levels. The programme focused heavily on rider confidence-building techniques and safer riding habits through professional coaching methods.
Beyond improving riding skills, the Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp also served as a platform to strengthen rider awareness, machine control and community engagement among Kawasaki owners nationwide.
As part of Kawasaki Malaysia’s initiative to make professional riding development more accessible, participants only needed to pay a subsidised fee of RM300, significantly lower than the estimated RM1,500 cost of a typical one-day professional riding course.

According to Husaini Johari, programmes such as this allow Kawasaki Malaysia to engage with riders in a more meaningful way.
“Programmes such as the Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp allow us to engage with riders in a more purposeful way,” he said.
“It is not only about riding on track, but also about helping owners understand their motorcycles better, improve their skills, and experience the Kawasaki brand in a safe and structured environment.”

Selected media representatives were also invited to experience the riding camp firsthand to better understand the structure and value of the programme ahead of future sessions involving more Kawasaki owners.
The event was further supported by several key partners including LEXIN Malaysia as the official intercom partner and Michelin as the tyre partner for the riding camp.
To support participants during the programme, riding gear assistance was also provided subject to availability, while Kawasaki motorcycles were prepared specifically for media riding sessions.
Moving forward, Kawasaki Malaysia plans to continue introducing more structured riding camp sessions aimed at strengthening rider education, safer riding practices and deeper community engagement among Malaysian motorcyclists.
