Enea Bastianini will join Aprilia’s satellite Trackhouse MotoGP team for the 2027 season after agreeing to a two-year contract with the American outfit.

The announcement was made through a series of coordinated statements, with Tech3 KTM confirming that Bastianini will leave the team at the end of the 2026 season before Trackhouse officially announced the Italian rider as its latest signing.

Bastianini will replace Ai Ogura, who is set to move to Yamaha’s factory MotoGP team alongside 2024 World Champion Jorge Martin when the championship enters its new 850cc era in 2027.

With Bastianini’s arrival, Trackhouse has now completed its 2027 rider line-up. Raul Fernandez had already secured a contract extension with the team earlier this month.

“I am extremely excited to join the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team for the next two MotoGP Championships. Starting from the test in Valencia this year, it is going to be a real new challenge for me as we are entering a new era with a new bike, new tires and new regulations,” said Bastianini.

“For this, I am happy to bring my experience and my fighting spirit to Trackhouse so that we can develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together. The team has grown a lot during 2026 and it has become a title contender – for sure I will do my best for us to stay on top.”

Bastianini made his MotoGP debut with Avintia Ducati in 2021 before his strong performances at Gresini earned him a promotion to Ducati’s factory squad.

However, two injury-hit seasons at Ducati eventually led to his departure, with Bastianini joining Tech3 KTM for the 2025 season. During his time with KTM, Bastianini established himself as the manufacturer’s second-best rider, although he remained some distance behind team star Pedro Acosta.

Bastianini is understood to have agreed terms with Trackhouse during the summer, but the deal could not be announced earlier. KTM reportedly held an option on his services until the end of June, while Trackhouse was also deciding whether to retain Fernandez.

Fernandez eventually secured his future with the team following an improved run of form during the 2026 season. Trackhouse team principal Justin Marks welcomed Bastianini to the team, highlighting the Italian’s experience and record at the highest level of motorcycle racing.

“It’s a very exciting moment for the SuperFile Trackhouse team to welcome someone like Enea to race our Aprilias. His racing pedigree, his MotoGP winning history, and his experience at the top of this game all contribute to the perfect scenario for a racing team that we all believe is on the verge of greatness,” said Marks.

Bastianini brings seven MotoGP Grand Prix victories to Trackhouse, as well as extensive experience competing at the front of the premier class.

With Bastianini and Fernandez confirmed for 2027, Trackhouse will head into MotoGP’s new 850cc era with two race-winning riders as it prepares to field the new Aprilia RS-GP850.
