The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM) has released an official statement following the tragic passing of rider Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill during the PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.

The incident took place during the CP150 Final on the opening lap of the race at Turn 3 on Sunday afternoon. The news has sent shockwaves throughout the Malaysian motorsports community, with riders, teams, officials, and fans mourning the loss of one of the championship’s competitors.

According to MAM, Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill, who competed under bike number 33 for CKJ Racing, received immediate medical attention from the circuit’s emergency medical team after the incident. He was then transferred to Hospital Nur Zahirah in Kuala Terengganu for further treatment.

Despite the best efforts of the attending medical personnel, Farres was sadly pronounced deceased at the hospital. In light of the incident, the ProAm race scheduled for the event was cancelled.

MAM expressed its appreciation to the circuit medical team, emergency responders, race officials, event organiser Penang Motor Sports Club, and championship promoter Safe Aim Mutual Sdn Bhd for their swift response in handling the situation.

The association also confirmed that the circumstances surrounding the incident will be reviewed and addressed in accordance with the championship’s sporting regulations and established safety procedures.

MAM has requested that the privacy of Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill’s family be respected during this difficult time as they grieve their loss.

In its official statement, MAM extended its deepest condolences to Farres’ family, loved ones, teammates at CKJ Racing, and the wider Malaysian motorsports community.

The association concluded by offering its heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by the tragedy, remembering Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill as part of Malaysia’s racing family whose passing is deeply felt across the sport.
