The PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship is set to roar back into action for its 33rd season in 2026, continuing its legacy as Malaysia’s leading national motorcycle racing series. The championship will once again bring high-octane racing to cities across Peninsular Malaysia while strengthening its role as a key platform for national motorsport development.

The long-standing partnership between PETRONAS and Safe Aim Mutual remains central to the championship’s direction, driving initiatives to nurture local racing talent, enhance industry participation and expand the sport’s reach across the country.

Speaking about the upcoming season, Ron Hogg, Promotions Director of Safe Aim Mutual, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to raising standards in Malaysian motorcycle racing.

“Our mission to elevate the standards of national motorcycle racing remains steadfast while continuously identifying and nurturing professional riders of outstanding calibre,” he said. “Community engagement will also remain a core priority throughout the championship, with ongoing efforts to build sustained awareness and interest.”

Hogg added that riders, teams and industry stakeholders will once again converge at multiple host cities, ensuring the championship remains closely connected to communities nationwide.

Reflecting on the previous season’s achievements, he expressed appreciation for the collective support behind the series.

“The achievements of the past year would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners, especially PETRONAS, and the collective contributions of everyone directly and indirectly involved in realising our shared mission. To all who played a part, thank you and well done. We look forward to another exciting season together,” he said.

Season 33 of the Malaysian Cub Prix promises to continue serving as a crucial stepping stone for young riders while delivering thrilling racing action to fans across the nation.
