The desire of young national racer, Hakim Danish Ramli, to chase better results at the 2026 French GP was ruined when the wet and slippery circuit conditions at Le Mans affected his racing pace last Sunday.
The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI rider, however, still managed to collect important points after finishing the race in 10th position in a challenging and dramatic event. The race saw almost half of the riders fail to finish due to falling in the dangerous track conditions.
Hakim Danish, who started the race from 12th place, arrives at Le Mans with high confidence after showing impressive performance throughout the race weekend. The Terengganu native managed to advance to the second qualifying session (Q2) and consistently recorded competitive times during free practice and qualifying sessions in dry track conditions.

Rain forced the team to change plans
However, the situation changed completely when rain began to fall on the Le Mans Circuit before the race began, forcing the team to make new adjustments to the bike’s setup to adapt to the slippery track surface.
The lack of data and the rainy practice session at Le Mans presented a real challenge for the team and Hakim Danish. The young national rider was seen struggling to gain full confidence on his machine, forcing him to change his race strategy from chasing the leading group to focusing on finishing the race safely.
A more cautious approach finally paid off when Hakim Danish managed to avoid being among the victims of an accident at Le Mans. The result sees him now in 15th place overall in the championship with 18 points so far.

Hakim Danish admits lack of confidence in rainy conditions
Commenting on the race, Hakim Danish admitted that he had difficulty adapting to the wet track conditions and did not have full confidence in the machine’s setup.
“Thank God, I managed to finish the race at Le Mans in the top 10 position. In today’s race, which took place in rainy conditions, I made a good start and tried to be in the leading group.
“However, it was a bit difficult because I felt less confident when competing in wet track conditions. Maybe the motorcycle setup today was not very suitable for the racing conditions, so it was a bit difficult for me to gain full confidence when riding.”
“I’m trying to maintain my pace and position because if I push too hard, the chances of falling in this race are high,” he said.
Hakim Danish also explained that he was actually quite confident in the performance of the machine throughout the weekend when the track was dry, but the wet race without any preliminary data presented a big challenge for the team.

Zulfahmi: “P10 is still a positive result”
Meanwhile, SIC Racing Team Manager, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, described the entire weekend at Le Mans as something positive even though the race results were not as expected.
“In the training session and qualifying session, we managed to show good performance and Hakim was in a competitive group.
“Only during the race, we expect better results when it rains because we know Hakim’s record of racing in wet conditions at this circuit is very good.
“However, when riders don’t have confidence in their machines in rainy conditions, it’s difficult to ride at their maximum potential,” he explained.
According to Zulfahmi, the team’s main focus during the race was to ensure that Hakim Danish successfully finished the race as many other racers fell due to the dangerous circuit conditions.
He believes better results could have been achieved if the team had managed to get a setup more suitable for the wet conditions, but still considered 10th place a positive result.
Confidence rises ahead of Catalunya
Despite failing to finish the race in the leading group, the performance at Le Mans still gave positive signs for Hakim Danish ahead of the next round in Catalunya.
The consistent performance displayed during dry track conditions throughout the weekend proves that the country’s young racer continues to show improvement and have the potential to return to compete more competitively in future races.
