Aruba.it Racing – Ducati delivered a standout performance at the Dutch Round of the Superbike World Championship, with Nicolò Bulega and Iker Lecuona securing another dominant one-two finish at TT Circuit Assen.
The result marks the team’s second consecutive 1-2 finish following their success in Portimão, further strengthening Ducati’s position in the championship.
After taking a convincing victory in the Superpole Race, Bulega continued his strong form in Race 2. Although Lecuona briefly took the lead on lap three after overtaking Sam Lowes, Bulega responded immediately and reclaimed the top position a lap later.
He went on to secure victory, marking his 13th consecutive win in WorldSBK and drawing level with Toprak Razgatlioglu in the all-time record books. Lecuona followed closely in second place, while Lowes completed the podium for ELF Marc VDS Racing Team.
The result also puts Ducati on track for another milestone. Since the introduction of the Superpole Race format, no manufacturer has achieved three consecutive one-two-three finishes in a single weekend, a record Ducati is now within reach of breaking.

Riders Reflect on Strong Weekend
Bulega described the weekend as challenging but rewarding, particularly given the unpredictable weather conditions: “I’m very happy. It was an unpredictable weekend, especially given the weather. However, we did a great job and for that I thank Ducati and my team. It was important for me to leave Assen feeling positive after last year.”
Lecuona also expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress despite a slower start compared to Portimão: “I must admit I’m very satisfied. The weekend started with a feeling that wasn’t quite the same as at Portimao, but we managed to close the gap and be very competitive. The goal remains the same as at the start of the season: to improve race by race, and we’re doing just that.

Championship Standings and Next Round
Following the Dutch Round, Bulega leads the championship standings with 186 points, ahead of Lecuona on 117 points, while Lowes sits third with 82 points.
The WorldSBK season now heads to the Hungarian Round at the Balaton Park Circuit, scheduled from May 1–3, 2026, marking the fourth round of the championship. Ducati’s current form signals a strong title push, with Bulega emerging as the rider to beat as the 2026 season continues.
