Ducati has officially entered a new era in premium cycling with the unveiling of its 2027 Cycling Model Year (MY2027) range at the International Bike Festival. Developed in partnership with Gruppo Zecchetto, the new collection introduces four high-performance bicycles, comprising the Monoscocca road bike, GraviaX gravel bike, and two carbon-fibre e-Enduro models, the DM-160 R and DM-170 RR.

Designed to deliver the same excitement, engineering excellence, and premium quality associated with Ducati motorcycles, the new range combines Italian craftsmanship with advanced cycling technology to cater to road riders, gravel enthusiasts, and mountain bikers alike.

Ducati and Gruppo Zecchetto Begin New Cycling Partnership

The MY2027 bicycle range marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between Ducati and Gruppo Zecchetto for the development, production, and marketing of premium bicycles.

Manufacturing is handled by Diamant, a company within Gruppo Zecchetto that specialises in carbon fibre technology and already collaborates with Ducati in producing composite components. The Zecchetto Group is also known for owning renowned cycling brands DMT and Alè Cycling.

To ensure the bicycles meet professional-level expectations, Ducati enlisted several well-known names from the cycling world during development. Olympic cyclist Elia Viviani, Grand Tour winner Vincenzo Nibali, sprint specialist Alessandro Petacchi, former professional Mattia Viel, and mountain biking expert Lorenzo Suding all contributed to testing and validating the new models.

The official launch took place during a media event at the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit, attended by Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Gruppo Zecchetto CEO Philippe Zecchetto, and nine-time motocross world champion Antonio Cairoli.

Ducati Monoscocca: Lightweight Road Bike Built for Speed

Leading the MY2027 range is the Ducati Monoscocca, a high-performance road bike designed and manufactured entirely in Italy.

Its carbon-fibre monocoque frame is produced using a single-mould lamination process to maximise stiffness while keeping weight low. Ducati says the design allows for immediate power transfer during acceleration while maintaining excellent responsiveness and handling.

Aerodynamics also play a major role in the Monoscocca’s development. The frame features truncated-tail tube profiles and highly integrated components that reduce air resistance while maintaining structural rigidity and stability.

Rather than being an uncompromising race bike, the Monoscocca adopts an all-round race geometry that balances aggressive performance with long-distance comfort. Riders also benefit from tyre clearance of up to 32 mm, making the bike more versatile across varying road conditions.

The Monoscocca will be available in five frame sizes and offered in three configurations:

  • Monoscocca R
  • Monoscocca RR
  • Frameset only

The flagship Monoscocca RR comes equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, Vision Metron 45 RS wheels, and Vision Metron ACR 5D EVO handlebars, resulting in a claimed weight of just 7.18 kg (size M without pedals).

Customers can also customise frame colours and finishes through Ducati’s online configurator to create a personalised build.

Ducati GraviaX Brings Racing DNA to Gravel Adventures

Joining the road bike is the Ducati GraviaX, a premium gravel bicycle engineered for riders who want race-inspired performance without sacrificing versatility.

Like the Monoscocca, the GraviaX uses a full carbon monocoque frame manufactured in Italy by Gruppo Zecchetto. However, its geometry has been optimised for gravel riding, providing greater comfort, stability, and control over long distances and mixed terrain.

The frame accepts tyres up to 50 mm wide, allowing riders to confidently tackle paved roads, gravel tracks, and rougher surfaces. Ducati has also incorporated practical features such as an integrated storage compartment inside the down tube and mounting points for bikepacking accessories.

Another advantage is its compatibility with a wide variety of drivetrain systems, including both electronic and mechanical groupsets.

The GraviaX R complete bike includes premium components such as:

  • SRAM Force XPLR AXS wireless drivetrain
  • Ducati G-Line carbon wheels
  • Ducati G-Line integrated carbon handlebars
  • Continental Terra 700×45 tyres
  • Prologo Novus Boost Evo saddle

The GraviaX weighs a claimed 8.2 kg (size M without pedals) and is available both as a complete bike and frameset.

Ducati Introduces Carbon-Fibre E-Enduro Bikes

Expanding beyond traditional bicycles, Ducati has also introduced two new electric mountain bikes built around an all-new carbon-fibre platform.

The Ducati DM-160 R and DM-170 RR have been developed specifically for demanding enduro riding, combining climbing efficiency with exceptional descending capability.

Power comes from the latest Avinox M2S electric motor, producing up to:

  • 1,300 W maximum power
  • 130 Nm of torque
  • 150 Nm in Boost Mode

The system also includes an 800 Wh battery, integrated GPS, eSIM connectivity, adaptive riding modes, and advanced sensors to provide a highly connected riding experience.

One standout feature is Ducati’s adjustable frame system. Three dedicated flip chips allow riders to modify suspension progression, frame geometry, and wheel configuration to better suit different trails and riding styles.

Ducati DM-160 R

The DM-160 R is designed as the more versatile Performance Trail model, featuring:

  • Full 29-inch wheel setup
  • 160 mm RockShox Zeb Select fork
  • RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ rear shock
  • SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type drivetrain
  • SRAM Maven Base brakes

Its setup focuses on climbing traction, high-speed stability, and efficient obstacle clearance.

Ducati DM-170 RR

The more aggressive DM-170 RR targets gravity-focused riders with:

  • Mixed-wheel (mullet) configuration
  • 170 mm Öhlins RXF38 M.3 Air fork
  • Öhlins TTX Air rear shock
  • SRAM GX Eagle AXS wireless drivetrain
  • SRAM Maven Bronze brakes
  • FSA Gradient Carbon handlebars

This configuration delivers increased suspension travel, greater agility, and improved confidence on technical descents, jumps, and steep terrain.

Both e-Enduro models come equipped with FSA NS i30 Gradient wheels and Prologo Proxim Custom saddles. The DM-170 RR has a claimed weight of 22.8 kg, while the DM-160 R weighs 23.4 kg (both in size S2 without pedals).

Availability

The new Ducati Cycling MY2027 range is available in multiple colour options and can be ordered through authorised specialist bicycle retailers, Ducati dealerships, and Ducati’s official cycling platform.

With the launch of the Monoscocca, GraviaX, DM-160 R, and DM-170 RR, Ducati is extending its performance-focused philosophy beyond motorcycles, offering cyclists a premium lineup designed to deliver speed, precision, versatility, and advanced technology both on and off the road.
