iMotorbike Glenmarie Continues CSR Journey with Visit to Trinity Children’s Home

The 18th CSR initiative for iMotorbike’s Glenmarie HQ highlights the home’s decades-long efforts to provide care, education and opportunities for vulnerable children.

Continuing its commitment to giving back to the community, the iMotorbike Glenmarie team recently visited Trinity Children’s Home in Petaling Jaya as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

The visit marked the 18th CSR initiative for the Glenmarie HQ, following the previous CSR activity held in conjunction with the annual iMotorbike Merdeka Ride 2026.

Trinity Children’s Home provides care, support and a safe environment for children from vulnerable and underprivileged backgrounds, while helping them continue their education and prepare for life beyond the home.

A Home That Started from a Simple Wish

During the visit, the iMotorbike team learned about the humble beginnings of Trinity Children’s Home and the story behind its establishment.

The home was started by Ms. Nancy and Mr. Clemen, who had been married for several years without having children of their own. Initially, the couple approached the Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) with the intention of adopting one child.

However, when they visited JKM and saw the large number of children in need of care, the couple decided to take a different path. Instead of adopting just one child, they decided to open a home where more children could receive care and support. 

That marked the beginning of their journey, which started in Kampung Kepayang. The home remained there for around a decade before eventually moving to Section 7, Petaling Jaya, where it has continued its work for more than 13 years.

Watching Children Grow Into Their Own Lives

Over the years, the home has seen generations of children grow up and move on to build their own lives. Some former residents have gone on to work in different industries, including at Astro and Beacon Hospital, while others have started businesses of their own.

According to the home, some former residents have also returned to visit after growing up, getting married and starting families of their own. These reunions have become meaningful reminders of how the children have progressed since their early years at the home.

Supporting Education and Skills Development

Trinity Children’s Home currently cares for children between the ages of four and 17, with all the children attending school. The home generally receives children through JKM, while cases involving single parents are considered based on individual circumstances and background checks to ensure that the children genuinely require support.

Education remains an important part of children’s development. However, the home also recognises that not every child will follow the same academic path.

For those who discover that they are more interested in practical work or vocational skills, the home helps guide them towards suitable skills training. These programmes can provide children with practical abilities and, eventually, opportunities for job placement.

The approach allows the children to explore different pathways according to their interests and strengths as they approach adulthood.

iMotorbike Continues Giving Back

During the CSR visit, the iMotorbike team spent time at the home, learning more about its history, the children and the work involved in providing long-term care and support.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the team to contribute to the home while connecting with the people behind its daily operations.

For iMotorbike, the latest visit is another chapter in its continuing CSR journey, with the Glenmarie HQ regularly reaching out to different welfare organisations and communities throughout the year.

From orphanages and elderly care centres to animal shelters and community organisations, the 1ForAll CSR programme continues to focus on supporting different groups in need.

The visit to Trinity Children’s Home once again highlighted that community support is not only about providing immediate assistance, but also about creating opportunities for children to learn, grow and eventually build independent lives of their own.
