The highly anticipated iMotorbike Merdeka Ride 2026 has wrapped up, bringing together 30 motorcycle riders from different parts of Malaysia for a special Independence Day ride that combines the joy of riding with a meaningful community initiative.
Returning for its third consecutive year, the Merdeka Ride shifted focus from just logging miles to making a direct impact. Participants joined in on iMotorbike’s regular monthly CSR effort, ensuring this year’s Independence Day run gave back to those who need it most, earning this year’s event the official name: iMotorbike Charity Merdeka Ride 2026.
Flagged off on 31 August 2026, the ride welcomed all motorcycles 150cc and above. Each rider signed up with a registration fee that went directly to a meaningful cause, with 100% of the funds donated to Banting’s Rumah Anak Yatim & Asnaf As-Solihin Kanchong Darat.
The journey kicked off early at the iMotorbike Glenmarie showroom, with riders assembling at 8:00 AM for the initial rendezvous and safety briefing. Once prepped and briefed, the convoy rolled out toward Shell Elite R&R USJ for a quick splash-and-dash before heading into the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
A standout pit stop along the route was the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex, where participants stepped away from the handlebars to immerse themselves in Malaysia’s vibrant traditional arts and heritage.
Situated in the heart of the city, the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex offered participants a vibrant window into Malaysia’s rich heritage, blending traditional and contemporary artisan products. This cultural pit stop gave riders a unique perspective on the capital before firing up their engines once more.
Back on the road, the convoy charted a 75 km route via the SKVE, weaving through a mix of urban streets and open highways toward Banting. The group pulled into Rumah Anak Yatim & Asnaf As-Solihin Kanchong Darat at around 12:20 PM, setting the stage for the day’s core mission.
More than just handing over a contribution, the afternoon was spent connecting directly with the children through shared meals, music, and hands-on batik painting. The iMotorbike team and participating riders made every moment count before closing out the event in true Merdeka Ride fashion. A lucky draw session and giveaway goodies added extra thrill to the afternoon, giving riders one last chance to mingle and celebrate together.
But, beyond the open roads and planned stops, the 2026 Merdeka Ride was defined by its focus on giving back. What began as a simple convoy has matured into an annual gathering that connects iMotorbike customers, team members, and the broader riding community.
While the 2024 edition celebrated raw patriotism and 2025 focused on historical heritage and unity, 2026 marked a new chapter, blending the thrill of riding with cultural discovery and hands-on charitable outreach.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to every rider who joined the iMotorbike Merdeka Ride 2026 and made this year’s celebration truly unforgettable. Your passion, positive energy, and dedication to our CSR mission elevated this event far beyond a typical convoy.

iMotorbike also extends its sincere gratitude to our event partners, dedicated team members, and the wonderful staff and residents of Rumah Anak Yatim & Asnaf As-Solihin Kanchong Darat. Your warmth and support made it possible to honor Merdeka while making a real difference in the community.
Above all, this ride was all about togetherness, the miles covered, the stories shared, and the laughter along the way. As we wrap up this National Day celebration and look forward to the upcoming Malaysia Day on September 19th, the entire team at iMotorbike extends a heartfelt Selamat Hari Merdeka and Selamat Hari Malaysia. Thank you for making this journey so special!
