Aprilia has officially been crowned the 2026 MotoAmerica Twins Cup Champion after rising American star Hank Vossberg secured the title with a commanding victory in Race 1 at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
The championship-winning performance came during the sixth and penultimate round of the MotoAmerica season, where the 16-year-old Robem Engineering rider showcased remarkable speed and consistency aboard the Aprilia RS 660. His victory in Saturday’s opening race was enough to mathematically secure the championship with three races still left on the calendar.

Vossberg Dominates Virginia Weekend
Vossberg looked competitive from the opening practice sessions on Friday and carried that momentum into qualifying. The young American claimed pole position with a new lap record of 1:29.420, highlighting the pace of both rider and machine.
He converted that pole position into victory in Race 1, sealing the 2026 MotoAmerica Twins Cup title in style. The celebrations continued on Sunday as Vossberg completed a perfect weekend by winning Race 2, making it a double victory at Virginia International Raceway.

A Championship Built on Consistency
The 2026 season has been nothing short of exceptional for Vossberg. Across 12 races, he has claimed nine victories while finishing on the podium in every single race.
His consistent performances have established him as one of America’s brightest young motorcycle racing talents and further demonstrated the competitiveness of the Aprilia RS 660 in national-level competition.
Winning the championship with three races remaining also underlines the dominant campaign delivered by Vossberg and Robem Engineering throughout the season.

Aprilia RS 660 Continues Its Winning Legacy
The championship success is another milestone for the Aprilia RS 660, which has become one of the benchmark motorcycles in the MotoAmerica Twins Cup category.
It also marks another achievement for Robem Engineering, a team that has built an impressive record in the American championship. With Vossberg’s title, the squad has now secured four national championships in the past six seasons.
Previous title winners for the team include Kaleb De Keyrel in 2021 and Alessandro Di Mario, who claimed back-to-back championships in 2024 and 2025.
The latest triumph further strengthens Aprilia’s reputation for developing race-winning motorcycles capable of competing at the highest level in production-based racing.

Hank Vossberg Reflects on Championship Success
Speaking after clinching the title, Vossberg admitted he did not expect to wrap up the championship so early in the season: “It’s truly incredible. I never thought I’d win the championship this early. A few circumstances certainly helped me, but the team has done a brilliant job and the Aprilia RS 660 has performed really well. As for the final round in New Jersey, I just want to enjoy myself.”
Looking Ahead
Although the championship has already been decided, Vossberg and Robem Engineering will head into the final round at New Jersey Motorsports Park aiming to finish an already outstanding season on a high.
For Aprilia, the 2026 MotoAmerica Twins Cup title serves as further proof of the RS 660’s performance, reliability, and competitiveness, adding another prestigious championship to the Italian manufacturer’s growing motorsport success.
