The Ducati Lenovo Team is preparing for the fifth round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship as the squad heads to the legendary Le Mans circuit in France. Known for suiting the characteristics of the Ducati Desmosedici GP, the historic venue has delivered several memorable victories for the Italian manufacturer in recent years.
Ducati first celebrated victory at Le Mans in 2020 with Danilo Petrucci riding for the factory team. Since then, the Bologna-based manufacturer has continued its dominance at the French circuit through wins from Jack Miller in 2021, Enea Bastianini in 2022, Marco Bezzecchi in 2023, and Jorge Martin in 2024. Le Mans also holds a unique distinction as the only circuit where every Ducati team has managed to secure victory.

Marc Márquez confident after positive Jerez weekend
Marc Márquez arrives in France with strong momentum following a successful outing in Jerez, where he claimed victory in the Sprint race. The eight-time world champion also showed impressive pace during last year’s Le Mans round, finishing second in the main race aboard the Desmosedici GP.
The Spaniard is optimistic about Ducati’s chances this weekend, especially after productive testing sessions following the Spanish Grand Prix.
“Le Mans is a track that I like and where I was already very fast with the Desmosedici GP last year,” said Márquez. “It will be a weekend with many unknowns because the weather can always create surprises. But in Jerez we worked well, and aside from the crash, we were competitive. The post-race test also helped us make another step forward.”

Bagnaia targeting stronger pace at Le Mans
Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia also heads into the French GP feeling encouraged after a constructive test session in Jerez. Although the Italian secured second place in the Sprint race in Spain, his main race ended in disappointment while attempting to recover positions.
Bagnaia believes the Le Mans layout could suit the strengths of the Ducati package and hopes to close the gap to the front-runners this weekend.
“I am happy to go to Le Mans because, on paper, it’s the kind of track that can really highlight the strengths of the Desmosedici GP,” Bagnaia explained. “After the test, I remained satisfied because we tried several solutions that could help us here and at other circuits as well. We hope for good weather and to continue improving so we can get closer to the strongest riders.”

Ducati aiming to continue strong Le Mans record
With Ducati carrying a remarkable record at Le Mans and both riders showing positive signs ahead of the race weekend, expectations are high for another competitive showing from the Ducati Lenovo Team.
As the 2026 MotoGP season continues to intensify, the French Grand Prix could prove to be another key chapter in Ducati’s pursuit of championship success.
