At the recent Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, Ducati achieved a significant milestone, securing its 100th victory in MotoGP with Enea Bastianini’s triumph aboard the Desmosedici GP at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

This landmark win not only marked Ducati’s century in the premier class but also emphasized its dominance in a race located just kilometres from its headquarters in the heart of Italy’s Motor Valley.

Ducati’s recent achievement has elevated them into an exclusive circle, making them the first European manufacturer to reach 100 MotoGP victories, joining Honda (157) and Yamaha (125) as the only manufacturers to have achieved triple-digit wins in the modern era of Grand Prix racing.

Moreover, Ducati has also become the fourth manufacturer to secure 100 premier class wins since the inception of Grand Prix racing in 1949. They now stand alongside Honda (313), Yamaha (245), and MV Agusta (139) in this prestigious group, marking a significant milestone in Ducati’s Grand Prix racing history.

Additionally, Bastianini’s victory was doubly significant as it also secured Ducati its sixth Constructors’ World Title, and remarkably, the fifth consecutive one since 2020. This season has been a testament to Ducati’s continued excellence, clinching the title with six races still remaining.

The journey to 100 wins began with Loris Capirossi in 2003 and was bolstered by riders like Casey Stoner, who clinched Ducati’s first World Championship in 2007, and Andrea Dovizioso, who marked Ducati’s 50th win in 2020. Since then, the team has rapidly accumulated victories, demonstrating its technical superiority and competitive edge.

Francesco Bagnaia stands out as Ducati’s most successful rider recently, contributing 25 wins to the century tally. Enea Bastianini, with today’s victory, celebrates his seventh win on a Ducati.

Pecco became the most successful Ducati rider, putting out 25 wins for the manufacturer.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, expressed, “The milestone of 100 MotoGP victories and the conquest of the Manufacturers’ World Title makes us proud and write the name Ducati even more indelibly in the history of the world’s top motorcycle racing competition. These moments are an opportunity to look back and give due importance to every single effort, to the hard work and to years of commitment and continuous innovation.”

“A heartfelt thank you to all the riders, colleagues, engineers, technicians, our partners and sponsors, collaborators, Ducatisti and all the people who have worked hard with passion and determination over the years to take Ducati to the top step of the podium,” he added.

Meanwhile, Luigi Dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse reflected, “Only four years have passed since we celebrated the first historic milestone of 50 victories in MotoGP and in such a short time, we have managed to add up the same number of successes and reach 100. Before us, only two other manufacturers had achieved this and we are the first Europeans to do so. It is certainly an important result, which fills us with immense pride.”

This historic achievement not only celebrates Ducati’s past accomplishments but also sets a high bar for its future in the world’s top motorcycle racing competition.
