The new EMX125 line-up includes Kay Karssemakers, Ivano Van Erop and Mairus Pumpurs.
Yamaha Motor Europe has just announced that MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 Team will be featuring new and young riders for the 2020 EMX125 Championship. The three riders are namely Kay Karssemakers and Ivano Van Erp and Mairus Pumpurs. The former two are Junior Motorcross World Champions whereas Pumpurs is the latest winner of the 2019 YZ125 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup.
At 15 years old, Kay Karssemakers has made a name for himself. The Dutchman has accumulated titles from many World Championships. This includes the 65cc Junior Motocross World Champion in 2015. He also has two bronze medals at the 2017 and 2018 editions of the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship. In 2019, he made his EMX125 debut and completed with three top-10 race finishes.
Compatriot and 14-year-old Ivano van Erp, on the other hand, is known as the 2017 65cc Junior Motocross World Champion. Latvian Mairus Pumpurs made heads turn with his stellar performance in the YZ125 bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup program.
All three riders will be taking on 2020 on GYTR kitted YZ125 machinery. The EMX125 championship, an eight-round series. It coincides with the FIM MXGP World Championship rounds in the UK, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Finland and Italy.
