In just a few days, the 2019 MotoGP season will have its first race under the lights of Losail circuit, in Qatar. After a long Winter break and a tough preseason, where he completed an intense development program, Malaysian rider Hafizh Syahrin previews the first race in Qatar.
Riding for the same Tech3 team, but now in partnership with KTM and racing a very different bike, the RC16, Hafizh Syahrin has had a tough preseason and couldn’t get the lap times we all hoped for.
Nevertheless, the Malaysian rider is feeling good and full of confidence that the results he and the Red Bull KTM Tech3 are looking for, will eventually appear
“I’m looking forward to the first race very much! We had some tough preseason tests, where we tried to adapt to the bike step by step. It was pretty good and I felt better and better with the bike, although we were still quite slow, but we believe that we can arrive at the top one day with this amazing group, so we keep on working hard, try to understand everything and keep the mind fresh to be ready for race day. Let’s see what we can do, I hope to be further up in the standings than during preseason tests”, says Syahrin.
The first MotoGP race of the 2019 season will happen March 10, but from next Friday onwards riders and teams will already be fine-tuning their bikes for the qualifying sessions. Make sure you get all the latest results of Hafizh Syahrin and follow iMotorbike!
