Givi Asia Sdn Bhd has donated helmets and special-duty jerseys to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) ahead of the 30th edition of Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2026.
The equipment was handed over by Givi Asia Director Onn Hai Swee to JSPT Director CP Dato’ Sri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali during a ceremony attended by senior officers from both organisations.
The donated gear will be used by JSPT personnel carrying out traffic-control and enforcement duties along the LTdL route, including motorcycle and roadside operations.
According to JSPT, the contribution reflects cooperation between the motorcycle industry and enforcement agencies in supporting road safety while providing suitable protective equipment for personnel working in the field.
Also present at the ceremony were JSPT Secretariat Chief ACP Shankar Sanrakasa, Traffic Control Assistant Director Supt Mohd Irwan Abd Rahim and other senior officers.
Representing Givi Asia were Overseas Operations Director Joseph Perucca, National Sales and Marketing Manager Julian Loh, and Government and Corporate Executive Nazrulshah Md Yusop.
JSPT expressed its appreciation to Givi Asia for the contribution, noting that the cooperation will support the safety and operational readiness of personnel deployed throughout LTdL 2026.
The 30th edition of Le Tour de Langkawi will take place from 27 September to 4 October 2026, featuring eight stages across Peninsular Malaysia.
The race, which forms part of the 2026 UCI ProSeries, will begin in Shah Alam on 27 September before concluding in Putrajaya on 4 October.
