Cardo Systems has announced that its latest innovation, the Cardo Beyond GTS smart helmet, has received the prestigious 2026 Red Dot Award: Product Design. The award recognises the helmet’s outstanding design, innovation, and functionality, further strengthening Cardo’s reputation as a leader in wireless communication technology for powersports.

The Red Dot Award is one of the world’s most respected international design competitions, honouring products that demonstrate exceptional creativity, engineering, and user-focused design. Selected from thousands of entries worldwide, the Cardo Beyond GTS impressed the judging panel with its seamless integration of advanced communication features and rider safety technologies.

A new generation of smart motorcycle helmets

Developed through a collaboration between Cardo’s in-house engineering team and Austrian design firm Kiska Design, the Beyond GTS is Cardo’s first fully integrated smart helmet. Built with a lightweight carbon fibre shell and a multi-density EPS liner, the helmet is engineered to provide both comfort and protection for everyday riders and touring enthusiasts.

One of its standout features is the world’s first 53mm helmet speakers, developed and fine-tuned by Cardo Sound Labs. Combined with an advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system, the helmet significantly reduces wind noise while allowing riders to remain aware of surrounding traffic, improving both comfort and safety without relying on earplugs.

Integrated communication and intelligent safety features

The Beyond GTS comes equipped with the premium Cardo PACKTALK PRO communication system, fully integrated into the helmet for a clean and user-friendly design. Riders can operate the system through an intuitive button layout, including a programmable button for customised functions.

Powered by Cardo’s Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) technology, the helmet allows riders to stay connected with up to 31 other riders, ensuring reliable communication during group rides.

In addition to its communication capabilities, the Beyond GTS includes several advanced safety technologies. These include an integrated rear brake light to improve visibility, built-in crash detection for emergency assistance, and an intelligent helmet health monitoring system that continuously checks the helmet’s structural condition.

The helmet also features the world’s first Pinlock 200 anti-fog visor, a secure double D-ring fastening system, and an integrated drop-down sun visor. It meets both ECE 22.06 and DOT safety certification standards.
