Cardo and HJC Launch HJC PACKTALK With DMC Technology for Up to 31 Riders

Cardo Systems has officially unveiled the HJC PACKTALK, a new integrated motorcycle communication system developed in collaboration with HJC Helmets. Designed exclusively for selected HJC helmet models, the new system combines Cardo’s renowned PACKTALK technology with HJC’s helmet design, allowing riders to enjoy premium communication features without affecting the helmet’s fit, comfort or aerodynamics.

The launch expands the long-standing partnership between the two brands and gives HJC riders direct access to Cardo’s flagship communication platform in a factory-integrated package.

A Communication System Designed Around the Helmet

Choosing the right motorcycle helmet is about more than just safety. Riders also consider comfort, fit, aerodynamics and styling before making a purchase. With the HJC PACKTALK, Cardo and HJC aimed to preserve all of these qualities while adding advanced communication capabilities.

Instead of attaching a bulky external unit, the communication system is fully integrated into compatible HJC helmets. This approach maintains the helmet’s original profile while delivering the connectivity and audio performance expected from Cardo’s premium PACKTALK lineup.

Shachar Harari, Vice President of Business Development at Cardo Systems, said the collaboration allows HJC owners to enjoy Cardo’s latest technology without compromising the helmet they have already chosen.

“HJC riders have already chosen the helmet that works for them. They shouldn’t have to compromise that experience to get the communication technology they want.”

Meanwhile, Max Yeo, Director of Sales & Marketing Division at HJC Helmets, said the addition of PACKTALK completes HJC’s communication lineup while further strengthening the partnership between the two companies.

Second-Generation DMC Supports Up to 31 Riders

At the heart of the HJC PACKTALK is Cardo’s second-generation Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) technology.

Unlike conventional Bluetooth pairing, DMC creates a self-healing communication network that automatically reconnects riders who leave and rejoin the group. This ensures conversations continue without interruption, making it ideal for touring groups and large motorcycle convoys.

The system supports communication between up to 31 riders and offers a maximum communication range of 1.6 km (1 mile) under optimal conditions.

Premium Audio and Voice Control

The HJC PACKTALK includes several premium features that have become synonymous with Cardo’s flagship communication systems.

Riders benefit from 40 mm JBL speakers that deliver high-quality audio for music, navigation and intercom conversations. The unit also supports Natural Voice Operation, allowing riders to control various functions using voice commands while keeping both hands on the handlebars.

Other features include:

• Integrated FM radio
• Up to 13 hours of talk time
• Over-the-air software updates
• Premium rider-to-rider communication

Together, these features make the HJC PACKTALK suitable for both daily commuting and long-distance touring.

Three Communication Options for HJC Riders

With the introduction of HJC PACKTALK, HJC now offers three integrated communication systems designed for different types of riders.

The HJC PACKTALK serves as the premium option, offering second-generation DMC, communication for up to 31 riders, 40 mm JBL speakers, Natural Voice Operation, a communication range of up to one mile and approximately 13 hours of talk time.

For riders who primarily travel in smaller groups, the HJC 4X provides Bluetooth communication for up to four riders. It also features Live Bluetooth Intercom, 40 mm JBL speakers, Natural Voice Operation, a communication range of around 0.75 miles and up to 13 hours of talk time.

Meanwhile, the HJC SPIRIT is aimed at riders looking for a simple and reliable communication solution. It supports two riders, includes 40 mm HD speakers, offers a communication range of approximately 0.25 miles and delivers up to 10 hours of talk time.

The HJC PACKTALK will be available from September 2026 with a starting retail price of US$419.95 (RM1712.56). Developed exclusively for selected HJC helmet models, the new communication system combines Cardo’s latest rider-to-rider communication technology with HJC’s helmet engineering, offering riders a cleaner, fully integrated solution for staying connected on every ride.
