Alpinestars Malaysia has officially introduced the highly anticipated Supertech R10 (S-R10) Asia Fit helmet, bringing the brand’s flagship racing helmet to Malaysian riders with a design specifically tailored for Asian head shapes.

Distributed locally by Sinar Puncak, the Supertech S-R10 is priced at RM3,999 for the Plain Carbon and White colour options, while the six graphic variants retail at RM4,799.

The S-R10 is Alpinestars’ most advanced helmet, developed through a decade of racing research. Influenced by MotoGP expertise from riders like Jorge Martin and Pedro Acosta, the project prioritizes safety, aerodynamics, and ergonomics.

The helmet is certified to FIM, ECE 22.06 and DOT safety standards, making it suitable for both road and circuit use. More importantly for local riders, the Asia Fit version has been specially designed to better accommodate the more rounded head shape commonly found among Asian riders.

Alpinestar SR10

MotoGP-Inspired Safety Technology

At the core of the Supertech R10 is an advanced eight-piece multi-density EPS liner designed to manage impact forces more effectively.

According to Alpinestars, the low-friction inner liner technology was developed directly from racing applications and exceeds ECE 22.06 safety requirements by 37% in linear impact performance and 65% in rotational impact management.

The helmet shell itself is constructed using a sophisticated multi-layer carbon composite structure that combines high-density 3K carbon fibre, uni-directional carbon fibre, aramid fibre and fibreglass materials bonded together using advanced epoxy resin. For reference, the size Medium S-R10 weighs a claimed 1,540 grams.

To further improve rider protection, the interior padding system incorporates elastically connected crown and neck pads designed to reduce rotational, oblique and linear forces transferred to the rider’s head, neck and brain during an impact.

Emergency cheek pad removal is also included, allowing medical personnel to safely remove the helmet in the event of an accident.

Alpinestar SR10

Designed for Performance

Aerodynamics played a major role during the development of the Supertech R10. The helmet features 11 ventilation ports consisting of six intake vents and five exhaust vents designed to maximise airflow and cooling during both road riding and racing conditions.

Alpinestars claims aerodynamic drag is reduced by 4.54% through the use of its race-spec rear spoiler and integrated lateral winglets. Graphic versions of the helmet come standard with an additional race spoiler, while interchangeable road and race spoilers are also included as part of the package.

The shell design has also been engineered with rider safety in mind, featuring a raised chin bar profile and specially contoured sides to provide additional clearance for the collarbone during crashes.

Long-distance riders and racers will also appreciate the integrated hydration system channel built into the right cheek pad, allowing compatibility with hydration systems during endurance riding or track use.

Alpinestar SR10

Premium Comfort and Customisation

The Supertech R10 is offered in four shell sizes and four EPS liner sizes to provide a more precise fit across a wide range of riders.

Adding another level of personalisation is Alpinestars’ patented A-Head Fitment System, which allows riders to fine-tune the helmet’s height and angle for improved comfort and positioning.

The interior uses premium Coolmax padding to enhance moisture management and breathability, while the entire liner can be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

Alpinestar SR10

Complete Race-Ready Package

Each S-R10 comes equipped with an extensive list of accessories. Included in the box are clear and dark smoke visors, a Pinlock 120XLT anti-fog lens, tear-off films, wind and breath deflectors, interchangeable road and race spoilers, as well as a premium helmet bag.

The helmet will be available at authorised Alpinestars Malaysia dealers nationwide starting from June 2026. Owners can also register their local helmet warranty through the official Alpinestars Malaysia website.

With its MotoGP-derived technology, premium materials and dedicated Asia Fit design, the S-R10 positions itself as one of the most advanced performance helmets currently available in the Malaysian market, targeting riders who demand the highest levels of safety, comfort and race-inspired performance.
