Francesco Bagnaia has successfully undergone surgery on his right forearm, with the Ducati Lenovo Team confirming that the procedure was completed without any complications.
The MotoGP rider underwent an endoscopic fasciotomy on Tuesday afternoon at the Orthopaedic Clinic of the Policlinico di Modena in Italy. The operation was carried out by a medical team led by Professor Luigi Tarallo at the clinic directed by Professor Fabio Catani.
According to Ducati, the surgery was a success, allowing Bagnaia to immediately begin his planned recovery and rehabilitation programme during the MotoGP summer break.

Recovery targets Silverstone comeback
The timing of the operation was carefully planned to coincide with the championship’s summer break, giving the Italian rider the best opportunity to recover before racing resumes.
Subject to his post-operative progress, Bagnaia is targeting a return to competition at the British Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place at Silverstone from August 7 to 9.
The recovery period will be closely monitored by Ducati’s medical team to ensure the two-time MotoGP world champion is fully prepared before returning to the track.
Bagnaia’s comeback at Silverstone will depend on his rehabilitation progress over the coming weeks, with the Ducati Lenovo Team optimistic that the summer break provides sufficient time for a safe and complete recovery.
