Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS), a member of the DRB-HICOM Group, has introduced several updates to the Modenas Elit 150S, alongside new colour schemes and graphics for its 150cc scooter. The price remains unchanged from 2025 at RM7,877, excluding road tax, insurance and registration. The latest colour options are Amazon Green, Glorious Black and Nardo Grey.

The latest updates focus mainly on refining the Elit 150S rather than changing its core mechanical package. MODENAS has introduced a revised fuel-cap spring for improved positioning, while an unused exposed socket at the front has also been removed.

The scooter also receives revised ECU mapping, with the updated programme optimising fuel-injection timing at higher speeds and increasing the rpm cut-off. This gives the Elit 150S additional headroom at the top end.

The mechanical specifications remain unchanged. Power continues to come from a 149cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled SOHC four-valve engine, producing 14hp at 8,250rpm and 13.5Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. The engine uses fuel injection and sends power to the rear wheel through a V-belt automatic transmission.

For its chassis, the Elit 150S uses telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by single hydraulic discs at both the front and rear, while the scooter rides on 13-inch wheels fitted with 110/70 front and 130/70 rear tyres.

The Elit 150S has a 1,390mm wheelbase, 770mm seat height and 160mm ground clearance. Kerb weight stands at 137kg, with the fuel tank holding 12 litres. The Elit 150S continues to offer a range of practical features, including a smart key, LED lighting, LCD instrumentation, hazard lights and USB charging. Under-seat storage provides 23 litres of capacity, giving riders additional room for everyday items.

With the latest changes, MODENAS has kept the Elit 150S’s main mechanical package unchanged while focusing on component-level improvements and revised engine mapping to refine its performance at higher speeds.
