The country’s sensational young racer, Hakim Danish Ramli, is determined to continue the excellent pace he displayed at the Italian Grand Prix (GP) as he prepares to face new challenges at the 2026 Hungarian GP which will take place at the Balaton Park Circuit from June 5 to 7.
Hakim Danish arrived in Hungary with high confidence after making personal history by securing his maiden podium finish of third place in the Moto3 World Championship at Mugello last Sunday. The victory was not only the best result of his career so far, but also ended a decade-long wait to see the Jalur Gemilang fly again on the Moto3 podium.
This proud achievement also solidifies the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider’s position as one of the brightest young talents in the Moto3 competition this season.
Valuable Experience From Mugello Becomes Supply To Face Hungary
According to Hakim Danish, the race at Mugello provided many valuable lessons, especially in terms of race management, strategy and composure when competing with the world’s best riders.
The experience of being in the front group all the way to the finish line helped him gain a deeper understanding of how to operate the machine in high-pressure situations and make important decisions at critical moments of the race.
“Of course, after the end of the race in Mugello, Italy, I am now more enthusiastic and highly motivated to face the competition in Hungary this week.”
I learned a lot in Italy, especially in terms of managing the race with more maturity and staying calm on the track. I gained a lot of valuable experience competing in the front group.
“I learned a lot about how to handle the machine in the last five laps and competed against world-class riders who were very fast. It was truly a very meaningful experience for me,” said Hakim Danish.

New Challenges Await at the Balaton Park Circuit
Unlike Mugello, which he was familiar with before, the Hungarian GP will provide a different experience for Hakim Danish because he has never raced at the Balaton Park Circuit.
Despite having to adapt to the new character of the circuit, the 18-year-old rider is optimistic that he will be able to find a rhythm quickly and perform competitively since the first free practice session.
“Regarding the Balaton Park Circuit, it is a new circuit for me. Therefore, I will try my best to adapt to the circuit as quickly as possible.”
“My goal is to be competitive from the very beginning, starting from the first free practice session (FP1) until race day on Sunday,” he added.
Thorough Preparations After Podium Success
There was no time to celebrate the victory for too long as Hakim Danish returned to Spain immediately after the race in Mugello to conduct a thorough analysis of his performance.
He used the short period before the Hungarian GP to study race footage, identify areas for improvement and continue his physical training and mental preparation program to ensure he was at his best.
“My preparations for this week’s race are going well. I always ensure that my training routine continues consistently.
“As soon as the last race ended, I immediately returned to my home in Spain to review the race footage and conduct analysis to improve my riding,” he explained.

Zulfahmi: Balaton Park Not an Ideal Circuit, But Hakim Can Provide Competition
Meanwhile, SIC Racing Team Manager, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, described the podium at Mugello as proof of Hakim Danish’s true ability to compete with the world’s best racers.
According to him, the achievement is the result of hard work and positive development shown by the country’s young riders since the beginning of the season.
“The podium at Mugello is proof that Hakim has the ability to compete with the best riders in the world. What he has achieved is not a coincidence, but rather the result of hard work, discipline and development shown since the beginning of the season.”
“I see Hakim’s confidence growing after the race in Italy. More importantly, he now understands what it takes to be in the front group and how to manage the race when competing for the podium,” said Zulfahmi.
However, he admitted that the character of the Balaton Park Circuit may not be a good fit for Hakim Danish’s riding style, making this round one of the more difficult challenges of the season.
“If based solely on the character of the circuit, it may not be in Hakim’s favor. But if he manages to stay with the leading group and compete for the best position, that can be considered a bonus,” he added.
Hakim Danish Now 11th in Moto3 World
As a result of the historic podium at Mugello, Hakim Danish is now in 11th place overall in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship with 43 points after seven rounds.
He has also recorded four top-10 finishes this season, cementing his reputation as one of the most promising young riders in Moto3.
With growing confidence and valuable experience gained at Mugello, the focus now turns to action in Hungary to see if Hakim Danish can continue his excellent momentum and once again challenge for the world podium.
