The Zonsen Cyclone SR250, also known as the RE250 in China, made its debut at Plaza Penang in Pulau Pinang last month, captivating visitors with its retro roadster charm.

unveiling came just before the launch of the WMOTO SM125i kapcai and the WMOTO RT1 scooter.

There are indications that this stylish roadster may undergo local assembly (CKD) at the MForce Bike Holdings plant before its imminent release into the Malaysian market. However, as of now, there’s no concrete pricing information available for the Cyclone SR250.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of its features:

Powered by a 249.2cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine, the Cyclone SR250 boasts liquid-cooling technology and fuel injection, delivering an impressive 27.4hp at 9,000rpm and 22Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.

Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox featuring an Assist & Slipper (A&S) clutch system, reminiscent of its racing-inspired counterpart, the Aprilia GP250, developed through collaboration between Piaggio Group (Aprilia’s parent company) and Zongshen (Zonsen).

The bike comes with full LED lighting, including round-shaped head and tail lamps, and separate indicator lights. The rear brake light is distinct from the turn signals.

Riders can stay informed with the color digital LCD instrument panel, featuring a black backlight for clear visibility in various lighting conditions.

Built on a cradle frame, the Cyclone SR250 features 41mm inverted front forks with 115mm of travel and a rear monoshock suspension.

Its dimensions measure at a length of 2,000mm, width of 800mm, and height of 1,125mm, with a wheelbase of 1,360mm and saddle height of 775mm.

With a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters and weighing in at 143kg, the Cyclone SR250 promises a balance of agility and endurance for riders.

For braking, it sports a single 300mm disc at the front with a dual-piston caliper and a 218mm disc at the rear with a single-piston caliper, both equipped with a Dual-Channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

As anticipation mounts for its arrival in the Malaysian market, the Zonsen Cyclone SR250 stands poised to make waves with its blend of classic aesthetics and modern performance.
