Cyclone Malaysia has officially introduced the RT2S and RT5 to the Malaysian market through its authorised distributor, MForce Bike Holdings Sdn. Bhd., following their initial appearance at the Malaysia Bike Show (Mforce MotoXperience 2026) on 29 May.

Both models were officially launched alongside the grand opening of Mforce Smartshop KW Keat Wei Motor Sdn. Bhd. in Langgar, Alor Setar, Kedah, where visitors also had the opportunity to test ride the new scooters.

The Cyclone RT2S is priced at RM13,888, while the RT5 retails for RM16,888. Both prices exclude road tax, insurance and registration. Although both scooters sit in the 250cc class and share the same engine specifications, they are positioned differently, with the RT2S aimed at daily commuting and medium-distance travel, while the RT5 offers a larger touring-oriented package with additional equipment.

Cyclone RT2S

The Cyclone RT2S is powered by a 247cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve single-cylinder engine producing 26.14 hp at 8,500 rpm and 24.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a CVT automatic transmission and belt drive, while the scooter gets a 12.6-litre fuel tank for longer riding distances.

Its suspension setup consists of telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by a 270mm front hydraulic disc and 220mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard. The RT2S rides on 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels fitted with 110/80 and 140/60 tyres respectively. It has a 750mm seat height and a dry weight of 179kg.

Equipment includes a TFT instrument display, smart key, full LED lighting, USB Type-A charging port and a side-stand safety switch. The scooter also comes with switchable Traction Control System (TCS), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), front and rear dashcams, an adjustable windscreen and a rear carrier with backrest.

Smartphone connectivity is also available through the Cyclone Store application. For the Malaysian market, the RT2S is offered in Prestige Black and Strong Grey.

Meanwhile, the Cyclone RT5 uses the same 246.9cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve single-cylinder engine, producing the same 26.14 hp and 24.5 Nm output as the RT2S.

Like the RT2S, power is transferred through a CVT automatic transmission and belt drive. However, the RT5 is designed with longer-distance riding in mind, featuring a larger 18-litre fuel tank and a dry weight of 190kg.

The RT5 is equipped with a braking system featuring Bosch components, alongside TCS, TPMS, a TFT instrument display and both Type-A and Type-C USB charging ports. It also receives an electrically adjustable windscreen, making it easier for riders to adjust wind protection while riding.

One of the RT5’s key features is its Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system, complemented by front and rear dashcams. Other equipment includes under-seat storage, a parking brake, motorised side mirrors and a motorised centre stand.

For added comfort, the RT5 comes with an extended footrest, seat shock absorbers and adjustable brake levers. The RT5 is available in Prestige Black, Strong Grey and Alabaster White.

Both the Cyclone RT2S and RT5 come with a two-year comprehensive warranty or 20,000km, whichever comes first. If the motorcycle exceeds 20,000km within the two-year warranty period, engine components will remain covered under an unlimited-mileage warranty for the remainder of the warranty period.

Cyclone Malaysia also provides customers with an online service for purchasing genuine replacement parts, giving owners easier access to original components after purchase.
