Nope, this isn’t a joke—and it’s definitely not an April Fool’s prank. It’s April 2, and what you’re looking at is a real motorcycle powered (at least partially) by wind and solar energy.
Enter the YongLE Risheng CG, a creation by Jiangsu YongLE New Energy Electric Vehicle Co., a Chinese manufacturer that isn’t exactly a household name—yet. The CG stands out not just for its eco-friendly intentions, but for its out-there design: a solar panel roof and a wind turbine mounted on top of what looks like a modified Honda CG125 frame.
What’s Under the Hood (or Panel?)
According to YongLE’s product info and design filings, the CG houses a 30Ah lithium phosphate battery. It reportedly offers:
- Top speed: 37 mph (59 km/h)
- Cruising range: 50–75 miles (80–120 km)
- Range on wind and solar alone: Over 31 miles
- Charging time (via plug-in): 6–8 hours
Do these numbers hold up in the real world? We can’t say yet—there’s no test footage or real-world reviews, just concept photos and spec sheets.

More Oddball Eco-Machines
The CG isn’t a one-off. YongLE’s catalog also features solar-powered golf carts, a compact EV, an electric boat, and the YLRS Fengchi160—a three-wheeler with a motorcycle front end, a flatbed rear, a solar panel, and not one, but two wind fans on top.
Apparently, the Fengchi160 is being prepared for export. Whether it finds a market outside China remains to be seen.
Will We See the CG on the Road?
It’s hard to say. The unconventional design—especially the wind turbine—might raise eyebrows with regulators outside of China. Still, there’s something charming about the CG’s idealistic mashup of old-school motorcycle and futuristic eco-tech.
Practical or not, the YongLE Risheng CG is a reminder that the EV space is full of surprises—and sometimes, the strangest ideas are the most memorable.
