The 2024 Petronas MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship returns for its ninth round this weekend, promising high-speed action at the Bandar Medini Iskandar circuit in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, on November 8th and 9th (Friday and Saturday)
With top riders competing in the CP150, CP125, and KBS HERO categories, fans can expect intense battles as the season heads toward its final stages.
Riders took to the track early Friday morning for practice, with qualifying set for the afternoon. Teams have been meticulously preparing to ensure peak performance as riders push for top times on the grid.
Saturday’s lineup will kick off with a morning warm-up session, followed by additional qualifying and heat races, leading into the main events. Major categories CP150 and CP125 will feature a 20-lap race that promises to be a crowd-pleaser.
Special races like the Honda RSX One Make Challenge and Yamaha Petronas Super Series will also add to the day’s excitement.
In the CP125 category, Petronas Sprinta Yamaha – 31 Racing’s Syamil Amysar stands on the verge of the season title championship, needing just one more win to secure the championship.
Meanwhile, in the CP150 category, Md Akid Aziz, who leads with 175 points, will look to hold off Ahmad Alif Imran also from Petronas Sprinta Yamaha – CKJ Racing.
Adding to the weekend’s festivities, the Iskandar Puteri Food Festival X Petronas Cub Prix 2024 will bring local cuisine, activities, and live performances, enriching the experience for attendees and drawing in local support.
With a blend of motorsport intensity and community celebration, the 9th round of the Petronas MAM Malaysian Cub Prix is set to be a must-see event.
