Ducati has announced the return of its DRE (Ducati Riding Experience) Racetrack Academy to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, offering motorcycle enthusiasts another opportunity to improve their track riding skills aboard the Italian manufacturer’s latest supersport machines.

Taking place on September 22 and 23, the two-day event combines classroom learning with on-track coaching, giving participants the chance to ride some of Ducati’s most iconic motorcycles under the guidance of internationally recognised instructors.

Ducati continues its riding academy tradition

Following the success of the Centenary edition of World Ducati Week, Ducati is bringing its renowned riding academy back to Misano. The DRE programme has become one of the brand’s flagship rider training initiatives, helping enthusiasts build confidence, improve technique, and experience Ducati motorcycles in a controlled circuit environment.

With more than 20 years of experience and over 34,000 participants, the DRE Academy has established itself as one of the leading motorcycle training programmes in the industry. The academy is led by professional riders from MotoGP and the Superbike World Championship, ensuring participants receive expert coaching throughout the experience.

Four courses tailored to different experience levels

The DRE Racetrack programme offers four different training options to suit riders with varying levels of circuit experience: Evo, Evo2, Master, and One-to-One.

Participants in the Evo and Evo2 courses will ride the Ducati Panigale V2 S, while the Master course features the Panigale V4 S. Each programme is designed to help riders refine their skills through a combination of theory sessions and practical track time.

The Master course also includes Ducati Data Logger (DDL) analysis and maintains a three-to-one student-to-instructor ratio, allowing riders to receive more personalised coaching and detailed performance feedback.

New Panigale V4 R headlines the exclusive One-to-One experience

One of the biggest highlights of this year’s DRE Racetrack Academy is the inclusion of the new Ducati Panigale V4 R in the exclusive One-to-One course.

Participants can also choose the Panigale V4 S equipped with the Racing Kit, but the V4 R promises a truly premium experience. The motorcycle has already enjoyed significant success in the 2026 Superbike World Championship, winning every race with Nicolò Bulega and Iker Lecuona, while helping Ducati secure its 22nd manufacturers’ title at Donington.

The latest Panigale V4 R also introduces advanced technologies inspired by Ducati’s racing programme, including Corner Sidepods, which generate ground effect while cornering, and the Ducati Racing Gearbox featuring Ducati Neutral Lock to prevent accidental engagement of neutral during aggressive downshifts.

Professional coaching and advanced performance analysis

The One-to-One programme is designed for riders seeking a personalised track experience. Every participant is assigned a dedicated instructor, receives an individual garage workstation, enjoys Open Pit access, and benefits from detailed post-session debriefs using onboard footage and performance data.

Both the Master and One-to-One courses continue to feature action camera analysis, allowing riders to review their performance and identify areas for improvement with their instructors.

In addition to their own track sessions, all participants will experience demonstration laps as passengers with qualified DRE instructors. These sessions showcase racing lines, braking points, acceleration techniques, and overall riding strategies on the Misano circuit.

The DRE Academy instructor lineup includes experienced racers such as Michele Pirro, Karel Abraham, Lorenzo Zanetti, Samuele Cavalieri, Franco Battaini, and Davide Stirpe, with the programme overseen by Technical Director Dario Marchetti.

Registration now open

Motorcycle enthusiasts interested in joining the Ducati DRE Racetrack Academy at Misano can now register through the dedicated section on Ducati’s official website. The event offers riders a unique opportunity to improve their circuit skills while experiencing Ducati’s latest high-performance motorcycles on one of MotoGP’s most famous tracks.
