What has MV Agusta prepared for 2019?

What has MV Agusta prepared for 2019?

November 6, 2018

Iconic Italian brand MV Agusta unveiled the uber-exotic F4 Claudio a few days ago, and while we’re waiting for EICMA Milan motorcycle show to open its doors to the public, the Varese based manufacturer already took the wraps off some other new 2019 models.

The Brutale Serie Oro is the biggest news on the MV Agusta range.

As the name implies, the MV Agusta Serie Oro is a very special version of the Brutale. Built in small numbers, this bike will surely be an object of desire for many riders around the world. The four-cylinder engine derives from the same unit used on the F4 RC superbike, with more than 200 hp. The Brutale Serie Oro than gets Öhlins race-spec electronic fully adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes and carbon fibre wheels.

When fitted with the optional race package, the Brutale Serie Oro will hit the 208 hp mark, making the KTM 1290 Super Duke R and other powernakeds feel underpowered against this exotic naked MV.

Not only MV’s engineers had to use a lot of technics used in World Superbike level to create this engine, but they also had to install a complete electronics package derived from the powerful an evolved F4 RC. This means the Brutale MV Agusta Serie Oro gets all the bells and whistles like traction control, anti-wheelie, race ABS, riding modes, launch-control and quick shift for swift gear changes (up and down).

To let the four-cylinder engine expel all those gases from the combustion chamber, MV Agusta turned to their Italian partners in crime, SC Project, with the exhaust specialists creating a beautiful exhaust system that ends in four exits, two on each side of the Brutale MV Agusta Serie Oro.

The golden elements like the side frame give the bike an exotic style, but the best of all is the use of MotoGP inspired winglets!

That’s right, MV Agusta is the first manufacturer to include this sort of element in a naked bike. The Italian brand claims these winglets really improve the stability of the Brutale at higher speeds, which is always good to know since this is a high performance naked that should be ridden as fast as possible.

Production Is limited to just 300 units, so you’ll need to be fast if you want to have one in your garage.

The Brutale 800 RR has also something new for 2019, namely the America variant.

The colour scheme features the colours we see on the American flag (white, red and blue), and the Brutale 800 RR America gets all the new stuff MV Agusta uses on the standard 800 RR, but since is built in limited production numbers (200 units), this means the Brutale 800 RR America will be another collector’s item for those that can afford it.

Last, but not least, all MV Agusta RC models will get new features for 2019.

The range includes the naked Brutale and Dragster models, the Turismo Veloce, the F3 675 and F3 800 supersport bikes, and finally, the F4. All these bikes receive a stunning race-derived paint scheme with numbers included, and a series of performance upgrades to make them stand out on the occasional track day, including SC Project exhausts and a dedicated ECU on special models like the F4 RC.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
