Ducati celebrated a historic milestone at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking 100 years of innovation, racing success and Italian craftsmanship with a special tribute that brought together legendary riders, current champions and fans from around the world.
Held under the centenary theme “A Century Made of Seconds,” the celebration reflected Ducati’s remarkable journey since its founding in Bologna in 1926. Over the past century, the Italian manufacturer has become one of the world’s most recognisable motorcycle brands, renowned for its cutting-edge technology, unmistakable design and racing pedigree.

Ducati legends reunite for a memorable balcony celebration
One of the highlights of the festival was the special Goodwood House Balcony Moment, where Ducati’s racing icons stood alongside today’s WorldSBK stars in a celebration of the manufacturer’s rich motorsport heritage.
The gathering featured legendary names including Carl Fogarty, Casey Stoner, Troy Bayliss, Shane “Shakey” Byrne, Josh Brookes, and Dario Marchetti, all of whom have played significant roles in Ducati’s racing legacy.
Joining them were current Ducati riders from the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, including Nicolò Bulega, Álvaro Bautista and Iker Lecuona, together with Lorenzo Baldassarri, Tommy Bridewell and Tarran Mackenzie. Their appearance came ahead of the WorldSBK round at Donington Park, creating a unique celebration that united multiple generations of Ducati racers.

Racing icons reflect on Ducati’s historic milestone
Four-time World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty described the celebration as an emotional experience, saying he was proud to be part of Ducati’s history after winning four WorldSBK titles aboard Ducati machinery, particularly the iconic Ducati 916.
Fogarty also praised the atmosphere at Goodwood, highlighting the enthusiasm of the fans and the opportunity to celebrate alongside the wider Ducati family.
Three-time World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss echoed those sentiments, calling the Goodwood Festival of Speed a world-class event. Bayliss said riding his 1998 Ducati 996 once again brought back special memories, while also expressing gratitude for the opportunities Ducati gave him throughout his racing career.

Ducati Collezione 100 showcases a century of history
Alongside the rider celebrations, Ducati also displayed its exclusive Ducati Collezione 100, a limited-edition motorcycle collection first unveiled during the 2026 Mugello MotoGP weekend.
The collection consists of 10 individually numbered liveries, with each design limited to just 100 units worldwide. Every motorcycle pays tribute to a defining moment in Ducati’s history, celebrating iconic machines, championship victories and memorable achievements that have shaped generations of Ducatisti.
Among the standout models on display was the Panigale V4 S 100, inspired by the Ducati that claimed victory in the inaugural 200 Miglia di Imola in 1972, ridden by Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari.

Ducati looks ahead to its next century
Throughout the festival, visitors had the opportunity to experience Ducati’s century-long evolution through a collection of motorcycles that showcased the brand’s passion for performance, innovation and engineering excellence.
Patrizia Cianetti, Global Marketing & Communication Director at Ducati Motor Holding, described the Goodwood celebration as a meaningful occasion that united Ducati’s past, present and future.
She said the event celebrated not only the riders who built Ducati’s racing legacy but also the fans whose passion continues to define the brand worldwide. According to Cianetti, Ducati has always represented far more than motorcycles, combining emotion, performance, design and the people behind its success while looking confidently towards its next 100 years.
Meanwhile, Gregorio Lavilla, Executive Director of WorldSBK, said Goodwood provided the perfect stage to showcase Ducati’s centenary celebrations while allowing fans to connect with WorldSBK riders outside the race circuit. He added that the event also helped build anticipation for the upcoming championship round at Donington Park.
Ducati’s centenary celebration at Goodwood Festival of Speed served as a fitting tribute to one of motorcycling’s most influential manufacturers, honouring a century of racing achievements while looking ahead to an exciting future.
