Young local talent Qabil Irfan Azlan clinched a podium spot in Race 2 of the Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK) Moto4 series in Navarra, Spain, making a strong comeback after a challenging first race.
Following a disappointing fall in Race 1 on Saturday, Qabil fought his way to a 3rd-place finish in Race 2, proving his resilience.
Qabil’s week started on a high note as he recorded the fastest time in the Qualifying session, securing pole position for Race 1. In Saturday’s wet conditions, Qabil led with confidence until an unfortunate crash on lap 10 saw him slip back to finish in 18th.

However, in Sunday’s Race 2, held on a partially dry track, Qabil began from 10th on the grid, quickly making his way up to the front pack.
Battling hard in 4th place, he made a final-lap push, securing 3rd as he crossed the finish just 0.577 seconds behind winner Enzo Zaragoza of Spain, with French rider Francois Florian in 2nd.
Meanwhile, at the Asia Talent Cup Round 5 in Buriram’s Chang International Circuit, Malaysia’s Farish Hafiy put up an impressive performance, leading FP1 and securing P6 in the Qualifying session.

In Race 1, he was in the top group, ending P6 and scoring 10 championship points. Race 2 proved more challenging, with Hafiy recovering to P18 after a crash on the wet track.
With the ESBK season finale set for Jerez this weekend and the Asia Talent Cup concluding at Sepang, all eyes are on Malaysia’s rising stars, with Hafiy currently ranked 7th in the championship and Japan’s Zen Mitani already crowned overall champion.
