In the heart of Melbourne, Savic Motorcycles has defied the odds and harnessed the support of riders, investors, and government initiatives to bring forth the C-Series, a groundbreaking electric motorcycle. Since its inception in 2016, Savic Motorcycles has navigated challenges, financial uncertainties, and even the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver a high-performance electric bike that has captured the attention of enthusiasts globally.

The Journey to Success

Savic Motorcycles embarked on a six-year journey, unveiling six prototypes along the way. Its journey now leads to the creation of the C-Series Alpha. It features an impressive power output of 60kW and over 200Nm of torque. Thanks to its advanced 16.2kWh lithium-ion battery system, the C-Series Alpha is a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence. Additionally, the C-Series Delta, a slightly less powerful variant, offers a 14.2kWh battery system. It is capable of delivering 40kW and over 140Nm of torque.

Financial Backing and Recognition

The road to success was paved with financial support from the Australian Government’s Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre and tax incentives from the Victorian Government. A crowdfunding campaign in May 2023 attracted 411 new investors and raised A$1.22 million. This demonstrated the overwhelming support from the Australian riding community. The C-Series further garnered acclaim for its design, receiving two Australian Good Design Awards and the prestigious 2022 Victorian Premier’s Design Award of the Year after achieving full ADR certification.

Gratitude and Enthusiastic Customer Reception

Dennis Savic, the founder of Savic Motorcycles, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support received from investors and enthusiasts. The anticipation among customers, such as experienced rider Marc Alexander, reflects the eagerness for the unique riding experience electric motorcycles offer. Alexander shared his excitement about the instantaneous torque and fuel-free rides. He also spoke about the brilliance of riding an electric bike, emphasizing his belief in the future of electric propulsion.

Global Expansion Plans

With a global perspective, Savic Motorcycles is set to export its innovative products to specific international markets in 2024-25. New Zealand and the United Kingdom are the initial targets, chosen for their potential for substantial expansion. Dennis Savic envisions a more sustainable future in transportation.

Democratizing High-Performance Motorcycles

Savic Motorcycles is on a mission to democratize high-performance motorcycles, providing competitively-priced vehicles directly to customers. Starting at A$19,990 (RM62,110.45), the C-Series Delta presents an accessible entry point. In contrast, the top-spec Alpha, priced at approximately A$26,990 (RM83859.99), is designed to cater to enthusiasts seeking cutting-edge features. This audacious vision reflects the company’s commitment to firmly establishing Australia on the global electric motorcycle map.

Savic Motorcycles stands as a beacon of innovation and perseverance. It proves that determination, community support, and forward-thinking design can overcome even the most challenging obstacles. As they set their sights on international markets, the company is poised to make a significant impact. We reckon it to usher Australia into the global arena of electric motorcycles with the revolutionary C-Series.
