Custom motorcycles always garner much attention, regardless if you’re a bike enthusiast or not. These custom creations exert creativity and a pool of ideas to make unique designs and changes. This time, we are taking the liberty to show you this Titanium Tracker by Roland Sands and his crew at Southern California’s Roland Sands Design.

BACKGROUND OF THE ECOSSE

This Ecosse Heretic Titanium Edition is a competitive exotic American. This would not be RSD’s first experience with a ultra high-dollar donor build. They have worked with street tracker with a Ducati Desmosedici D16RR. RSD has also worked with a MotoGP-spec V5 from a Proton Team KR race bike and made it into a hardtail board tracker for “King” Kenny Roberts.

Ecosse is an ultra-premium motorcycle manufacturer which is based in Denver, Colorado. The firm is founded by a married couple. It produces small batches of large displacement roadsters. The Heretic Titanium Edition first came out in 2008 and operates with a 1,9666 billet aluminium V-Twin engine with its own all-machined transmission.

TRANSFORMING THE ECOSSE

RSD had the idea to turn this bike into something more, something that was beyond its identity. Thus, the team got to work and came up with new aluminium bodywork. After that, stage two began to take place in SoCal. According to Pipeburn, RSD replaced the stock front-end with a conventional set of Öhlins FG forks.

Then, the team swapped the original twin disc six-pot ISR brakes with a single RSD disc and RSD calliper. Other upgrades include factory race bike’s same 19-inch CNC’d aluminum RSD Traction rims with Dunlop DT rubber. The motor also was customised for a new look.

FINISHING THE ECOSSE

As for the exterior, RSD amplified the look with some colour. Chris Wood of Airtrix completed the paint job of the bike. The bike now dons a metallic black look with aluminium details and gold pinstripe outlining. The makeover is then topped off with a custom brown leather saddle with a bum-stop back-piece.
