Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the latest addition to its exclusive Triumph Factory Custom (TFC) lineup with the launch of the Speed Twin 1200 TFC, a limited-production modern classic that combines premium components, handcrafted details and sporty ergonomics.

Production is limited to just 750 units worldwide, with each motorcycle priced at £18,495 (RM101,019) before local taxes and import duties.

For Triumph, the TFC badge represents the brand’s most exclusive motorcycles, featuring limited production numbers, bespoke finishes and high-end components assembled to a higher specification than their standard counterparts.

Speed Twin 1200 TFC

The Speed Twin 1200 TFC follows previous limited-edition TFC models, including the Thruxton TFC, Rocket 3 TFC and Bobber TFC, making it the fifth motorcycle to emerge from Triumph’s in-house custom workshop.

Each motorcycle comes with a laser-etched serial number on the billet-machined top yoke, reinforcing its exclusivity. Buyers will also receive a certificate of authenticity signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, along with an indoor motorcycle cover and a waterproof seat cover.

The Speed Twin 1200 TFC is based on the performance-focused Speed Twin 1200 RS and retains its 1,200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft configuration. The only mechanical change comes in the form of lightweight Akrapovič titanium silencers, while power output remains unchanged at 103 hp at 7,750 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm.

One of the biggest upgrades is found in the suspension department. Replacing the standard Marzocchi front forks is a fully adjustable 43 mm Öhlins upside-down fork, while the rear continues to feature adjustable Öhlins twin shock absorbers with external reservoirs. Braking performance is handled by Brembo M4.30 radial calipers.

To complement the upgraded chassis, Triumph has significantly revised the riding position. Traditional handlebars have been replaced by clip-on handlebars mounted beneath the top triple clamp, while rear-set footpegs create a more aggressive riding posture focused towards the front wheel. Completing the package is a premium solo seat finished in black leather and Alcantara.

Carbon fibre is used extensively throughout the motorcycle, with the front and rear mudguards, side panels, chain guard and heel guards all finished in high-gloss carbon fibre to reduce weight while adding a more premium appearance.

The electronics package includes a bidirectional quickshifter, lean-sensitive ABS and traction control, as well as three selectable riding modes consisting of Sport, Road and Rain. Riders are presented with information through a round instrument cluster that combines a traditional LCD display with a colour TFT screen.

Speed Twin 1200 TFC

Visually, the Speed Twin 1200 TFC stands out with its exclusive Obsidian Gold paint finish. While the motorcycle appears deep black under normal lighting, sunlight reveals thousands of gold metallic flakes embedded beneath the paint. The handcrafted finish is complemented by a hand-painted marbled gold coachline across the fuel tank, highlighting the bespoke craftsmanship that defines Triumph’s Factory Custom range.

With only 750 examples destined for customers worldwide, the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is expected to appeal not only to enthusiasts looking for a more focused version of the Speed Twin, but also collectors seeking one of Triumph’s most exclusive modern classics.
