Auto Fabrica transforms this BMW R65 into a classy monochrome beast

Auto Fabrica transforms this BMW R65 into a classy monochrome beast

Auto Fabrica from the United Kingdom has been constantly evolving through their designs of customised bikes. The firm, founded by brothers Bujar and Gazmend Muharremi, has been in the custom bike scene for six years. Their latest projects include transforming a 1980 BMW R65 into this monochrome edgy ‘Type 10B” beast. A client named Richard had commissioned this model based on the BMW R-series. The bike has sentimental value because it had previously belonged to his father in law, Malcolm, who passed away before the build was finished. Auto Fabrica stepped in to help make that unfinished project achieve its dream. THE PROCESS They stripped the stock twin shock R65 off of all its parts and made it into a fresh canvas. This provided them with a platform to completely turn the bike into one with a much aggressive and chic exterior. The team constructed the entire new rear end and the subframe to give the BMW R65 a better mon-shock setup. “Type 10 builds are heavily inspired by automotive design, these bikes are some of the simplest, usable and elegant designs we execute,” quoted Auto Fabrica from Pipeburn. They overhauled the entire bike, from the swingarm to the brakes and more. Auto Fabrica manufactured a custom mono-shock from Hagon to suit their specs. Next, they made cosmetic enhancements to make the bike to look simple and appealing. Finally, they topped off the tank of the BMW R65 with a striking and classic Ferrari Silver. As for the seats, the brothers have chosen a deep blue suede to complement the sophisticated look. The tail light and rear cowl is the signature piece of the ‘Type 10’. The light touches of the 3D printed items ‘MALC’ provide some sentimental value as it is a tribute to Richard’s late father-in-law. There is no doubt that we are in awe of the transformation of this bike. The message behind it adds some story and special value to the customisation. Above all, Auto Fabrica is certainly at a top competitor in the custom bike scene.
