Malaysian rider Hafizh Syahrin to start from 18 on the grid for tomorrow’s MotoGP race for the Dutch GP. Syahrin improved 1,5 seconds over his previous best lap time.
Under a scorching sun and very high temperatures, Hafizh Syahrin qualified today in 18 for tomorrow’s MotoGP race. At the Dutch GP, Hafizh Syahrin is showing good improvement aboard his KTM RC16. Yesterday, KTM Factory delivered a new 100% carbon swingarm to the Tech3 team. And that seems to give Syahrin a better feeling to push for the limit.
The Malaysian star improved no less than 1,5 seconds compared to his previous best lap time set on Friday. Today during the Qualifying session, the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider was on route for a great result but in the end, he couldn’t get higher on the timesheet. That means Hafizh Syahrin will start from 18 on the grid and hopes to finally finish a MotoGP race after two DNF’s
“I felt quite well. Overall the qualifying times were very tight. For sure it will be interesting for tomorrow’s race. I’ll try to make a good start and to keep on the bike. That’s very important. It should be a bit colder on Sunday so I hope we did the right choice regarding the tyre”, said Hafizh Syahrin.
