The official distributor of the Kawasaki brand in Malaysia, Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS) has officially introduced the Kawasaki Z900 2023 for the local market.

Two variants are available for Malaysia, namely the Z900 and Z900 SE. Both models come with a price tag of RM43,900 and RM55,900 respectively.

According to EMOS, the standard version comes in Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray colour options. On the other hand, the SE version comes in Candy Lime Green colour which is Kawasaki’s iconic colour.

Interestingly, the Z900 and Z900 SE models are entirely assembled in Gurun, Kedah. Both machines are the largest engines ever assembled by Modenas.

The Kawasaki Z900 and Z900 SE feature a liquid-cooled 948cc DOHC 4-inline engine. It is capable of producing 123.6hp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm at 7,700rpm. This 2023 model complies with the Euro5 standard.

In addition, among other new features introduced are a reinforced frame, new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires, Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), the latest Sugomi design, a new tank guard, a more compact swingarm and a pivot guard.

Four riding modes are available for the bike, including Sport, Road, Rain and Rider. The 2023 model also comes with a 4.3-inch TFT meter panel. Riders can also connect the panel to a smartphone through the Kawasaki Rideology app.

Meanwhile, the SE variant is much more unique as it comes with an adjustable 41mm front fork from Showa and an Ohlins S46 monoshock. Both of these units guarantee better control. This SE version also features Brembo M4.32 4-pot front brake callipers and a Nissin master cylinder.
