Yamaha launches special retro kit for XSR900 in Europe

Due to increasing demand, Yamaha has officially introduced a special retro kit for the Yamaha XSR900 in Europe.

Yamaha unveiled two kits but the ‘Racer’ kit has stolen the spotlight with its retro themes. The ‘Racer’ kit draws inspiration from the racing machines in the 70s and 80s.

According to Yamaha, the ‘Racer’ kit consists of a ‘headlight cowl’ and a ‘seat cowl’ which make the XSR900 look like the iconic Yamaha machines of the past.

Interestingly, the front ‘headlight cowl’ uses a glass fibre type material at the same time guaranteeing better durability for a long time.

According to Yamaha, the retro kit will be available online and at Yamaha’s official distributor in Europe starting this June. In the meantime, Yamaha also offers additional accessories including the Akrapovic exhaust.

Meanwhile, the ‘seat cowl’ at the back completes the retro look of the XSR900.

For the record, the model is a retro-style motorcycle that Yamaha introduced in 2016 before undergoing a major upgrade in 2022 with a new CP3 890cc engine. The engine is capable of producing 117hp and 93Nm.
