Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has confirmed that Aaron Plessinger will continue riding under the orange banner through the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX), including the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross Championships. This renewal marks a significant milestone: a fifth consecutive season for the Ohio native with the powerhouse team.

Affectionately known as “The Cowboy” for his down-to-earth persona, signature cowboy hat, and trailblazing attitude, Plessinger has become more than just a podium contender—he’s a fan magnet and brand ambassador. Since joining Red Bull KTM in 2022, the 29-year-old has etched a strong presence in the 450 class, earning consistent podiums and helping broaden KTM’s appeal to a growing fanbase.

With one round left in the 2025 Supercross season, Plessinger sits sixth overall in the 450SX standings, having secured five podiums, including a standout win at the Foxborough round. Outdoors, he has been equally formidable, finishing third in the 450MX championship the past two years. His combined efforts placed him fifth in the 2023 and fourth in the 2024 SMX World Championship standings.

Plessinger’s reach extends internationally too. He represented Team USA at the FIM Motocross of Nations in both 2023 and 2024. Notably, he helped the team to a second-place finish in the Open Class at Matterley Basin in the UK.

“It means everything to me to be part of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for 2026,” said Plessinger. “We’ve had some really, really good results, and to have the team want to keep me around, it’s really special. Meeting the fans, working with KTM Junior Supercross kids, and getting more people excited about dirt bikes—this is why we race.”

Red Bull KTM Team Manager Ian Harrison echoed that sentiment: “Aaron is more than just a racer—he’s a personality, a role model, and a culture carrier. His energy, resilience, and character make him invaluable to our team and the sport. We’re thrilled to continue this journey with him into 2026.”

With this announcement, Red Bull KTM cements its commitment to consistency and star power. And with Plessinger’s blend of charisma, competitiveness, and cowboy charm, fans can expect another thrilling year from one of SuperMotocross’s most beloved riders.
