Rea compares the Ninja ZX-10RR versions for World Superbike and Suzuka

Rea compares the Ninja ZX-10RR versions for World Superbike and Suzuka

Jonathan Rea is an accomplished rider both in World Superbike, where he has now three-world titles under his name and his on the way for a fourth straight title, and also in the famous Suzuka 8 Hours resistance race, a race he won back in 2012, at the time riding for Honda.

So, when Rea says something about a racing bike we know he knows what he is talking about.

This year the Kawasaki rider in World Superbike is riding for the Akashi brand at the next Suzuka 8 Hours race, for the Team Green factory squad, and now that he has shown an impressive pace with the special Suzuka endurance spec version of the Ninja ZX-10RR, he decided to compare the two bikes.

Although he and his team of mechanics and engineers from World Superbike could take some knowledge to apply on the Superbike version of the Ninja ZX-10RR, Rea says that “I can’t learn much and take it to World Superbike because our bike in on a higher level of performance and development than the Suzuka version race bike”.

Jonathan Rea assures Kawasaki has made huge investments in this Suzuka 8 Hours project, and the objective is to take the trophy to Akashi. Rea and his teammates have shown that their Ninja ZX-10RR bike has the potential to take the win, but they still need to battle it out with other factory teams from Honda, Suzuki and especially Yamaha, current title holders.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
