Suzuki has unveiled the 2027 Suzuki GSX-10R at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy, introducing a new litre-class sports motorcycle designed to combine superbike performance with greater everyday usability. The new model is scheduled to reach selected markets from summer 2027, although Suzuki has yet to announce its official pricing and market availability.
Despite carrying the GSX-R-inspired R designation, the GSX-10R shares much of its mechanical foundation with Suzuki’s GSX-S1000 range, while adopting a more aggressive riding position inspired by the GSX-R1000R. The result is a sportbike developed to balance track-focused performance with everyday riding comfort.
Powering the 2027 GSX-10R is a 999cc liquid-cooled, DOHC inline-four engine derived from the K5-generation GSX-R1000 powerplant, which also forms the basis of the GSX-S1000GT, GSX-S1000GX and Katana. Suzuki has refined the engine for smoother and quieter operation, with revised oil passages intended to improve reliability while maintaining strong acceleration across the rev range.
The manufacturer has not officially disclosed the engine’s output figures in its global launch announcement. However, specifications published by some European Suzuki distributors list a claimed maximum output of 152 hp at 11,000 rpm and 106 Nm of torque at 9,250 rpm.
The engine is paired with a compact aluminium twin-spar frame and adjustable suspension. Its forward-leaning riding position, featuring separate handlebars, brings the rider closer to the sporty ergonomics of the GSX-R1000R.

One of the main highlights of the GSX-10R is its comprehensive electronics package, which Suzuki describes as its most extensive system to date. Under the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), the motorcycle comes with 15 electronic control functions, supported by a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
The package includes three riding modes, 10-level traction control, wheelie control, roll torque control and a new slide control system. The latter detects and manages rear-wheel slides while cornering to help maintain stability. Other electronic features include launch control, engine brake control, cornering ABS, a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, an active speed limiter and low-RPM assist.
The GSX-10R also becomes the first Suzuki motorcycle to feature a brake hold system. The function maintains rear brake pressure for approximately 30 seconds when the motorcycle is stationary, including when stopped on level ground or downhill slopes.

The chassis setup features fully adjustable KYB suspension, comprising 43mm inverted front forks and a newly developed rear monoshock. Braking performance is handled by Brembo front calipers paired with twin 310mm brake discs and a radial master cylinder.
The motorcycle rides on 17-inch cast aluminium wheels fitted with Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 tyres. Tyre sizes are 120/70 at the front and 190/55 at the rear. Suzuki claims the GSX-10R can achieve a maximum lean angle of 53 degrees, compared with 48 degrees for the GSX-S1000.
In terms of dimensions, the motorcycle has an 810mm seat height and a 1,455mm wheelbase, while its kerb weight stands at 214kg. For the European market, Suzuki lists a fuel consumption figure of 15.8km per litre under the WMTC testing cycle. Actual consumption will vary depending on riding conditions and usage.
The new GSX-10R will be offered in three colour combinations: Pearl Vigor Blue with Metallic Mystic Silver, Pearl Pulse Red with Solid Iron Grey, and Metallic Galaxy Grey with Glass Sparkle Black. There is also no confirmation yet on whether the new GSX-10R will be introduced in Malaysia. Further details are expected as Suzuki prepares for its regional market launches.
