After taking advantage of a three-week summer break in Malaysia, national Moto3 rider, Hakim Danish, is now ready to face a new challenge at the British Grand Prix which will take place at the Silverstone Circuit this weekend.

The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider used the break after the German Grand Prix (GP) to improve his physical, mental and technical preparations. Together with his coach, Hakim underwent intensive training and analysed previous races in preparation for the remaining rounds of the 2026 Moto3 World Championship.

Apart from focusing on training, Hakim also took the time to attend several programs with sponsors and meet with supporters in Malaysia as a token of appreciation for the support he received throughout this season.

The continued support from sponsors is seen as proof of confidence in the potential of the Terengganu-born racer, thus fueling his enthusiasm to continue creating encouraging results on the world stage.

Now, Hakim’s focus has shifted entirely to the British GP, which will be a new experience as he makes his debut at the Silverstone Circuit.

The Silverstone circuit is renowned as one of the most challenging circuits on the MotoGP and Moto3 calendars, featuring 18 corners comprising 10 right-handers and eight left-handers. The high-speed course and combination of technical corners are expected to test the courage, precision and consistency of each rider throughout the race.

In addition to the unique character of the circuit, the often changeable weather factors in Britain are also expected to play an important role in determining the team’s strategy throughout the race weekend.

Hakim arrives at Silverstone with high confidence after a stellar first half of the season. So far, the 19-year-old is seventh overall with 86 points after 11 rounds, thanks to a historic win at the Czech Republic GP and a third-place podium at the Italian GP.

In the Rookie of the Year chart, Hakim is currently in third place with 86 points. He is only four points behind Indonesian rider Veda Pratama who has collected 90 points, while Spanish leader Brian Uriarte leads the chart with 127 points.

Hakim said he was excited to return to racing after the summer break and was confident that the preparations he had made in Malaysia would help him face the rest of the season.

“My preparations for the race at Silverstone are going well. Of course I’m excited to get back to racing after the summer break. While in Malaysia, I’ve been using the time to train and review previous races with my coach to be better prepared for the rest of the season.”

“For the British Grand Prix, I’m really looking forward to it because this is my first time racing at the Silverstone Circuit. I know it’s not an easy circuit, so I need to learn quickly and adapt to the circuit conditions as best I can. I’ll give my best to achieve a positive result,” said Hakim Danish.

Meanwhile, SIC Racing Team Manager, Zulfahmi Khairuddin, believes Silverstone has a character that suits Hakim’s riding style, but admits that the team needs to manage expectations as the circuit is a new experience for the national racer.

“For this round at Silverstone, Hakim has just finished his three-week summer break in Malaysia. During that period, we didn’t do too much training, but what we did was enough to maintain his fitness level and preparation before returning to competition.

“Silverstone is a new circuit for Hakim. It is a long circuit with lots of high-speed corners, and I believe the character of the circuit suits his riding style. We have also discussed and agreed that we need to manage expectations well and stay strong in whatever situations we face throughout the race weekend.

“The weather conditions in the United Kingdom are also unpredictable and can change at any time, so we need to be ready to adapt to whatever happens. I hope Hakim can be competitive from the first session and compete with the front group throughout the race,” he said.

With the positive momentum brought from the first half of the season, the British GP is the best opportunity for Hakim Danish to increase his total points, strengthening his position in the overall chart and continue to compete in the 2026 Rookie of the Year title.
