Zontes has taken a significant step into the high-performance motorcycle segment by unveiling the all-new ZT853-R at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. Positioned above the ZT703-R in the company’s lineup, the new naked sportbike combines a powerful three-cylinder engine with premium hardware and rider-focused technology.
Powering the ZT853-R is a newly developed 847cc liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine that delivers 150 hp at 12,500 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bidirectional quickshifter.

According to Zontes, the motorcycle is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, while its claimed top speed stands at 280 km/h.
The ZT853-R is built around a newly designed 10 kg aluminium frame paired with a single-sided aluminium swingarm, helping to reduce overall weight while improving handling characteristics.

Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable 43 mm Kayaba upside-down forks at the front and an adjustable rear monoshock. Braking performance comes courtesy of Brembo M4.30 front brake calipers gripping twin 310 mm floating discs, while a six-axis IMU enables advanced rider safety systems.
Zontes has equipped the ZT853-R with an extensive suite of electronic rider aids. These include cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, four-level anti-wheelie control, launch control, ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, and the previously mentioned bidirectional quickshifter. The electronics package is designed to enhance both performance and rider confidence, whether on the road or at the track.

Visually, the ZT853-R adopts an aggressive streetfighter design featuring sharp bodywork, aerodynamic winglets, full-LED lighting, and several carbon-fibre components that reinforce its sporty appearance.
The motorcycle also receives a horizontal TFT instrument display with navigation and stopwatch functions. Connectivity is provided through the Zontes 2.0 smartphone app, allowing riders to access vehicle information such as tyre pressure and location. The bike also features NFC-based keyless unlocking via the brand’s Intelligent Control System 4.0.

With the introduction of the ZT853-R, Zontes is clearly aiming to compete with established middleweight and litre-class naked sportbikes. The combination of a powerful triple-cylinder engine, lightweight chassis, premium suspension, Brembo braking system, and comprehensive electronics package signals the brand’s ambition to move further into the premium performance motorcycle market.
Pricing and market availability have yet to be announced, but the ZT853-R is expected to become one of the company’s flagship models following its debut at EICMA 2026.
