MODENAS has officially launched the 2026 Kawasaki Z650S at the Malaysia Bike Show 2026 held at MAEPS, Serdang.
Priced at RM35,600 excluding road tax, insurance and registration, the updated middleweight naked motorcycle arrives in Malaysia with a host of refinements, focusing on improved rider comfort, updated styling and enhanced technology.
The 2026 Kawasaki Z650S is available in Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray / Metallic Flat Spark Black and follows the global introduction of the model in 2025.
Compared to the previous generation, the new Z650S receives several ergonomic improvements. The handlebars are now wider and positioned slightly further forward, providing a more natural riding position. The footpegs have also been moved slightly rearward, while seat height has increased from 795 mm to 805 mm for improved rider comfort and control.

Kawasaki has also redesigned the fuel tank, although capacity remains unchanged at 15 litres. Visually, the Z650S receives all-new body panels along with redesigned LED headlight and taillight units, giving the motorcycle a sharper and more modern appearance while retaining its signature Sugomi-inspired styling.
One of the most notable upgrades is found in the cockpit, where the Z650S now features a 4.3-inch TFT-LCD display. The screen offers two selectable display themes and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to pair their smartphones through Kawasaki’s Rideology app for additional functionality.
Powering the motorcycle is the familiar 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch. The engine produces 67 hp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm.

Electronic rider aids include standard dual-channel ABS and a two-level traction control system, providing additional confidence in varying road conditions.
Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock setup. Braking performance comes from twin 300 mm front discs with two-piston calipers, while the rear wheel uses a 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres, and curb weight is listed at 190 kg.
With its updated ergonomics, improved technology and refreshed styling, the 2026 Kawasaki Z650S continues to strengthen its position as one of the most popular middleweight naked motorcycles in the market, appealing to both new riders and experienced enthusiasts looking for a versatile everyday machine.
