The 2026 MotoGP season continues its European leg as the paddock arrives at the iconic Le Mans Bugatti Circuit for the French Grand Prix.
Following record-breaking attendance last year, another massive crowd is expected, with home favourites Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco set to receive strong local support.

Aprilia Still the Benchmark
Despite his winning streak ending in Jerez, Marco Bezzecchi and Aprilia Racing remain the benchmark heading into France.
Bezzecchi’s second-place finish in Spain extended his championship lead to 11 points over teammate Jorge Martin, who continues to deliver consistent results. Aprilia also impressed with all four of its bikes finishing inside the top six in Jerez, underlining its strong early-season form.

French Hope Rests on Quartararo and Zarco
Quartararo heads into his home race aiming to bounce back after a modest result in Jerez, although improvements seen during testing could offer some optimism.
Meanwhile, Zarco returns to a circuit where he has enjoyed success in the past. A solid showing in Spain has boosted confidence as he looks to challenge closer to the front.

Ducati Seeking Response After Jerez Setback
It was a mixed weekend for the Ducati Lenovo Team in Jerez. While they secured a strong Sprint result, both Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia failed to finish Sunday’s race, costing valuable championship points.
Bagnaia now trails significantly in the standings, while Marquez will be eager to respond at a circuit where Ducati has enjoyed success in recent years.

Other Contenders in the Mix
Alex Marquez arrives in France with momentum after securing victory in Spain, while Fabio Di Giannantonio continues to impress as one of Ducati’s top performers this season.
Elsewhere, KTM will be aiming to bounce back after a subdued performance in Jerez, with Pedro Acosta targeting a return to the podium fight. Adding to the story, Jonas Folger is set to make an unexpected MotoGP comeback at Le Mans, stepping in for the injured Maverick Viñales. The German rider will join Red Bull KTM Tech3 for the French Grand Prix as Viñales continues his recovery from shoulder surgery.

Le Mans Set for Another Thriller
With championship momentum, home support and unpredictable weather often playing a role, Le Mans once again promises to deliver a thrilling weekend of racing.
As the battle intensifies, all eyes will be on whether Aprilia can maintain its dominance or if rivals can turn the tide in France.
