Andrea Iannone will officially join the inaugural FIM Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup starting from the Italian round at Mugello, riding for Niti Racing. The Italian rider becomes the 10th competitor on the championship grid, adding further star power and experience to the growing Harley-Davidson racing series.
Following a strong opening round in Austin, where Oscar Gutierrez secured victory in Race 2, Niti Racing has expanded into a three-rider lineup alongside Gutierrez and Dimas Ekky Pratama.
Iannone’s arrival is seen as a major boost for the championship due to his extensive experience at world level competition. The former MotoGP and WorldSBK race winner is widely recognised for his aggressive riding style and competitive approach. He is expected to immediately challenge at the front despite limited preparation time.

The Italian rider will make his debut aboard the race-prepared Harley-Davidson bagger machine during the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix weekend at Mugello Circuit from May 29–31. Interestingly, Iannone revealed he will head into the event without a prior test session on the motorcycle, making the challenge even tougher.
“I like challenges, especially when they take you out of your comfort zone. This is something completely different, and that’s exactly why I said yes,” said Iannone. He added that racing in front of Italian fans at Mugello makes the occasion even more special.
The addition of Iannone further strengthens the inaugural Bagger World Cup season, which has continued attracting attention with its mix of heavyweight Harley-Davidson machines and experienced international riders.

Jeffrey Schuessler described the signing as an important step for the championship’s growth. “Bringing a rider like Andrea into the championship is a strong statement about what we are building with the Bagger World Cup,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Niti Racing Team Manager Angela Khuu expressed confidence that Iannone’s experience and speed would add another dimension to the team.
With Mugello already one of the most iconic venues on the MotoGP calendar, the arrival of Andrea Iannone is expected to bring even more excitement to the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup as the series continues to build momentum globally.
